I wanted something practical, reliable and reasonably economical, so I decided to opt for a Audi A4 S-Line 1.9 TDI.
I drove all over the country to look at a few different ones, and finally decided on this one..

I had a pretty good idea of where I was going to go with the car before it was even purchaced, so I'd got a few parts ready to fit.

I decided to opt for 19" Bentley GTC wheels, I've always loved the design and it was between these and Rotiforms.
I initially got a set of chrome plated Bentleys, which were immaculate apart from some slight curbing to one wheel. I rang everywhere seeing if i could have the wheel rechromed but with no luck I eventually decided to get a second set of wheels to be mirror polished by Rainbow polishing.
This is one of the chrome plated wheels i originally bought..

Along with the curbing damage to one of the wheels

I bought a curbed set to be polished up to replace the chrome ones,

I took them to be polished at Rainbow in Birmingham, they polished my Steffans on my Polo a few years ago, and I can honestly say i was amazed at how the Bentleys turned out..

I sold the chrome wheels at a loss and decided to run the polished set.
I opted for some budget tyres after reading some good reviews online and as i dont really drive any of my cars too hard.

I decided to go for 215/35/19 tyres

Meanwhile, I bought a second set of headlights to split to remove the offensice orange corners...

Had the car into the garage for a cambelt and had the front light popped in at the same time. I felt it made a huge diffence to the front end, making it look much cleaner.

Got some nice new clean plates and ditched the plate surround..

And dewipered the rear...
This took abit more work that I had thought, as it became apparant upon removing the rubber grommit under the wiper that audi had forgotten to paint some of the glass!

The car was pretty stonechipped due to being a motorway rep mobile, so I had the front end resprayed by a local company who did an outstanding job..

And then it was coilovers on and testfit of the wheels...

Decided the wheels didnt really fill the arches enough, so ordered some 10mm spacers..

She's back in the bodyshop tomorrow for the rear bumper painting, being an avant its had alot of stuff dragged across the bumper during loading and unloading so just sort that out then I'll be happy with the paint.
Sold the polo yesterday, so a retrim is on the cards, not sure I'll be able to get it in before Early Edition now but I've nearly a month afterwards with no shows planned so I'll get in in then.
I've popped the standard wheels back on for the moment, as i plan on polishing the bentleys up, rim waxing and jetsealing them whilst the cars in the shop this week.
I'll get some full pics up as soon as I'm happy how its sitting
