Raised limter makes for a very interesting 2nd gear smile.gif Pulls stronger thoughout

Make/Model: VW Polo G40

Engine No: PY

Year/Reg: 92

Chip S/N: - G40 chip with 7300 limit

Comments: A good chip, cant say really how much it improved the car as was fitted at same time as 63mm pulley, but certainly fuelled enough to cope with 1bar of boost, no leaning out. A definite bargain.
Steve_O
Make/Model: VW Polo GT Squareback

Engine No: 3F

Year/Reg: 91/H-reg

Chip S/N: Unknown

Comments: A definite boost in performance, although bizarrely it wasn't until after I next disconnected the battery that I noticed the full transformation. That resetting the ECU thing has always been a bit of a myth, but it sure as hell worked for me!! After that the car was positively transformed.

A definite bargain for the price!! 8)

Still getting fuel economy in the 40's with a fairly hefty right foot - so it's all good.

Make/Model: VW Polo CL coupe

Engine No: AAV

Year/Reg: '93/K

Chip S/N: Unknown

Comments: I really felt the difference when I installed the chip. I used it in conjunction with a stainless steel exhaust and cone filter on my CL and it seemed to climb through the revs much easier (especially at higher revs)

To prove that it did actually make a difference to performance the car was rolling roaded (01.05) and achieved 67bhp @ 4400rpm.

Make/Model: VW Polo CL Squareback

Engine No: AAV, NZ injection, 3F cam

Year/Reg: 91/J-reg

Chip S/N: Unknown

Comments: good pull in mid range. smoother acceleration. Responsive

Make/Model: VW Polo Mk.1(injection conversion)

Engine No: NZ

Year/Reg: '81/X ('91 engine)

Comments: Much smoother running than before with increase in fuel economy if I could stay off the throttle pedal long enough. Power gains when coupled with other mods. Money well spent biggrin.gif
Jackass
Make/Model: VW Polo 1.3 Genesis

Engine No: AAV

Year/Reg: '92/K

Comments: Fitted to an otherwise stock engine, very lively off the line and awesome throttle response. Added benefit that when driven by the female owner (ie gently) the car can achieve 400 miles/tank!

Her only compaint, "first gear is too short!".

Chip S/N: - Special

Comments:

Slightly less torquey lower down, but a lot more higher up the revs ! The higher rev limiter is great !! and 2nd gear is " unique" lol throttle is a bit more twitchy as well, well worth the money

Chip S/N: - Spesh Yoof-Tuning Spec

Comments: Pulls like a bastid, reet bo, shit mpg, then again its pumping in more fuel than two pissheads in a brewery lol.gif

as for normal chip: noticably smoother, power 90bhp and 93lbft for almost stock gt, very good economy too.

Yoof verdict; don't delay buy today lol.gif [/b]

Chip S/N: - Special

Comments: Recieved mine this morning, within 5-10 minutes work i had the ECU out, chip fitted and back in the car. Instructions are top notch, even though it a simple job, its almost impossible to get it wrong.

2nd gear, well well, 2nd gear is alot better, 3rd aswell, the car just seems to fly to 80ish now

Very impressed, and for £41 (raised rev chip) bloody brilliant biggrin.gif

Make/Model: VW Polo 16v

Engine No: AFH

Year/Reg: 98

Chip S/N: - 1.4 16v AFH tuning chip

Comments: had the chip over a year now and the huge b*stard arse flat spot became a small bump immediately.. biggrin.gif

lee GT
chip fitted to mk3 GT coupe, great pick up on power from lowerr in the rev range and pulls right through to the raised rev limiter.

very pleased and would recommend to anyone!!

Very friendly guy too, very approachable!! biggrin.gif
Lewis
Fitted the chip today to my mk3 GT...much better throttle response and better pick up in all gears. Very noticable difference in second gear!
I'm running this chip with a Cam, manifold and exhaust and the chip seems to have made these mods come to life a lot more!
Bargain buy I say biggrin.gif
Rolo
fitted the chip (polo GT) today (the 8k raised limmiter) a lot smoother through the revs, alot better exceleration due to higher limmiter.
seems to pull a lot better aswell. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

very happy with the result.

very very helpfull, great guy. magic!!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

i highly recomend one of these, you cant get any thing else like this. cool.gif

Make/Model: VW Polo G40

Engine No: PY

Year/Reg: 91

Chip S/N: - 7300rpm limit

Comments: My old jabasport chip (fitted when i bought the car) had a weird flat spot with the fueling at about 4500rpm (felt like a I had taken my foot off the accelerator) and then pick up again after about 5000rpm. This new chip from Poloace smoothed out the flat spot and fuel economy improved upto 35mpg if i was nice to it (or 16mpg if i was evil!)
jim84
Make/Model: VW Polo 1.0L Mk3

Engine No: AAU

Year/Reg: 92

Comments: slightly better off the mark, power increase is minimal if at all, but the 1.0L has no power in the first place. most noticeable improvement is fuel economy, up by at least 6mpg. doesnt even seem to loose mpg if i rag the balls of it. overall worth the money so you can drive it hard yet maintain mpg.

Make/Model: VW Polo G40

Year/Reg: 91

Chip S/N: - 7300rpm limit chip with 65mm pulley

Comments: Did this at the same time as some other work and it's clear the chip and pulley have made a difference. Pulls much better higher in the rev range where it felt a bit flat previously. Idle also appears to be smoother.

Make/Model: VW Polo GT

Engine No: 3F

Year/Reg: 91

Chip S/N: - Special adjusted fueling and 8k limiter

Comments: sooo much fun, easy to fit, top service, and without i would be wasting a few 1000 from my top end rpm. If you get a cam make sure you get one of alans chip's to match splendid biggrin.gif
Karl
Make/Model: VW Polo CL (GT conversion)

Engine No: 3F

Year/Reg: '93 ('91 engine)

Chip S/N: ?

Although I did not purchase this chip directly from Fahrvergnugen Tuning it came as part of my engine conversion (ECU from Qwerty's GT). Idle is very stable at 875/900 rpm (according to the diagnostics port), and the pull through the rev range, particularly above 3500rpm, is very strong, and compliments my other mods well. I haven't got any confirmed power gains yet, but will update accordingly when I've run at Aldon on the 21/10/06.

When used in conjunction with a 4 branch mated to a standard G40 mid section and Powerflow backbox with no other modifications other than the chip and a freer flowing panel filter, I ran 83bhp with 65bhp at the wheels. I possibly lost out on some power due to the early signs of a failing headgsket.

Chip S/N: - 7300 Rpm Chip / Toothies / Samco Hosing / K+N Induction

Comments: Noticeable difference on lag between 2 and 2.5K Rpm and from 5500 Rpm + - Pulls Stronger with less lean off in higher revving conditions...worth every penny = A1 Product and would recommend....

took minutes to fit, and as expected made my car feel smoother, didn't feel much in the way of extra power, but the delivery of the power thats there was much improved. highly recommended, i have used poloace's chips in my gt, genesis and my mk4 1.6 glx to date and have found the chips to always give a good improvement, especially on the genesis (1.3 spi) which had a really noticeable improvement in power.
my gt fitted with one of his chips hit 87 bhp with just a chip, jetex backbox and induction kit!

Make/Model: VW Polo 1272 CL coupe

Engine No: AAV

Year/Reg: '93/K

Chip S/N: Unknown

Comments: I bought this off of a fellow forum user who had a change of plan and must admit to being a bit sceptical, how verrrry wrong I was.
Just had two round trips of 140 miles each way over the weekend made up of Motorway & A roads. The car appears to have so much more torque pulling smoothly from 20mph in top (5th biggrin.gif ) all the way up throughthe revs. In 3rd accelerating from 30 all the way up to 80 @ the redline yet still looking at nigh on 50mpg.

Nice One Alan - Thanks thumbsup.gif

Chip S/N: Polo Mk3 AAU SPI 1.05l chip

Comments: Have had the chip for about 2 months and have done about 1200 miles. Excellent chip engine is so much smoother throughout rev range. I have seen a fuel improvement of about 5mpg urban and 9mpg in motorway the car also seems far more responsive at 70mph in 4th. Have had the engine cut out at traffic lights once or twice however, I think this is because i am running the car on standard unleaded, will try super soon to see if it makes a difference. Overall I am very impressed!

Thanks Poolace,

Chip S/N: - 8K Limit

Comments: Entertaining to say the least! More torque, smoother running and the raised limiter gives that extra edge if needed. The throttle response seems improved too. I'll presumably feel the high rev benefit more when i get a less restrictive exhaust on.

All in all money well spent smile.gif

More tourque and cleaner accelaration through the rev range in all gear, and has gladly removed a flat spot that happened just after changing to 3rd while accelerating, 5th gear just pulls and pulls, much more enjoyable and drivable. Works well with my induction kit.

Big thumbs up here

Cheers

Had a chance to put decent 97ron fuel in yesterday, and it was a diffrent animal, and I'm getting a relly high mile to the gallon cruising at 70-80.

Comments: Noticeable gain in power across the range, particularly above 4k, also smoother running and sharper throttle response - just feels much punchier. Can't comment on economy cos only had it a day!
Installation is a piece of cake, the instructions are excellent - clear, simple and aided by excellent quality colour photos - so much better than haynes etc.
Only negatives were a long wait - five weeks from payment to delivery, and slow communications from poloace.
Overall - definite recommendation, quality product.

Update: having gone through two full tanks of petrol I can say it's also noticeably more economical despite me caning it everywhere!
