Chip S/N: - G40 chip with 7300 limit
Comments: A good chip, cant say really how much it improved the car as was fitted at same time as 63mm pulley, but certainly fuelled enough to cope with 1bar of boost, no leaning out. A definite bargain.

Make/Model: VW Polo GT Squareback
Engine No: 3F
Year/Reg: 91/H-reg
Chip S/N: Unknown
Comments: A definite boost in performance, although bizarrely it wasn't until after I next disconnected the battery that I noticed the full transformation. That resetting the ECU thing has always been a bit of a myth, but it sure as hell worked for me!! After that the car was positively transformed.
A definite bargain for the price!! 8)
Still getting fuel economy in the 40's with a fairly hefty right foot - so it's all good.

Chip S/N: Unknown
Comments: I really felt the difference when I installed the chip. I used it in conjunction with a stainless steel exhaust and cone filter on my CL and it seemed to climb through the revs much easier (especially at higher revs)
To prove that it did actually make a difference to performance the car was rolling roaded (01.05) and achieved 67bhp @ 4400rpm.

as for normal chip: noticably smoother, power 90bhp and 93lbft for almost stock gt, very good economy too.

2nd gear, well well, 2nd gear is alot better, 3rd aswell, the car just seems to fly to 80ish now
Very impressed, and for £41 (raised rev chip) bloody brilliant

Fitted the chip today to my mk3 GT...much better throttle response and better pick up in all gears. Very noticable difference in second gear!
I'm running this chip with a Cam, manifold and exhaust and the chip seems to have made these mods come to life a lot more!

Comments: My old jabasport chip (fitted when i bought the car) had a weird flat spot with the fueling at about 4500rpm (felt like a I had taken my foot off the accelerator) and then pick up again after about 5000rpm. This new chip from Poloace smoothed out the flat spot and fuel economy improved upto 35mpg if i was nice to it (or 16mpg if i was evil!)

Comments: slightly better off the mark, power increase is minimal if at all, but the 1.0L has no power in the first place. most noticeable improvement is fuel economy, up by at least 6mpg. doesnt even seem to loose mpg if i rag the balls of it. overall worth the money so you can drive it hard yet maintain mpg.

Although I did not purchase this chip directly from Fahrvergnugen Tuning it came as part of my engine conversion (ECU from Qwerty's GT). Idle is very stable at 875/900 rpm (according to the diagnostics port), and the pull through the rev range, particularly above 3500rpm, is very strong, and compliments my other mods well. I haven't got any confirmed power gains yet, but will update accordingly when I've run at Aldon on the 21/10/06.
When used in conjunction with a 4 branch mated to a standard G40 mid section and Powerflow backbox with no other modifications other than the chip and a freer flowing panel filter, I ran 83bhp with 65bhp at the wheels. I possibly lost out on some power due to the early signs of a failing headgsket.

took minutes to fit, and as expected made my car feel smoother, didn't feel much in the way of extra power, but the delivery of the power thats there was much improved. highly recommended, i have used poloace's chips in my gt, genesis and my mk4 1.6 glx to date and have found the chips to always give a good improvement, especially on the genesis (1.3 spi) which had a really noticeable improvement in power.
my gt fitted with one of his chips hit 87 bhp with just a chip, jetex backbox and induction kit!

Comments: I bought this off of a fellow forum user who had a change of plan and must admit to being a bit sceptical, how verrrry wrong I was.
Just had two round trips of 140 miles each way over the weekend made up of Motorway & A roads. The car appears to have so much more torque pulling smoothly from 20mph in top (5th

) all the way up throughthe revs. In 3rd accelerating from 30 all the way up to 80 @ the redline yet still looking at nigh on 50mpg.
Nice One Alan - Thanks

Comments: Have had the chip for about 2 months and have done about 1200 miles. Excellent chip engine is so much smoother throughout rev range. I have seen a fuel improvement of about 5mpg urban and 9mpg in motorway the car also seems far more responsive at 70mph in 4th. Have had the engine cut out at traffic lights once or twice however, I think this is because i am running the car on standard unleaded, will try super soon to see if it makes a difference. Overall I am very impressed!

More tourque and cleaner accelaration through the rev range in all gear, and has gladly removed a flat spot that happened just after changing to 3rd while accelerating, 5th gear just pulls and pulls, much more enjoyable and drivable. Works well with my induction kit.
Big thumbs up here

Comments: Noticeable gain in power across the range, particularly above 4k, also smoother running and sharper throttle response - just feels much punchier. Can't comment on economy cos only had it a day!
Installation is a piece of cake, the instructions are excellent - clear, simple and aided by excellent quality colour photos - so much better than haynes etc.
Only negatives were a long wait - five weeks from payment to delivery, and slow communications from poloace.
Overall - definite recommendation, quality product.
Update: having gone through two full tanks of petrol I can say it's also noticeably more economical despite me caning it everywhere!
