FeeDub
Thanks Vinnie, tis appreciated

The conversion is being done by my personal mechanic who is out Essex way, fingers crossed my husbands inheritance comes through sooner rather than later to get it sorted unibrow.gif

jamakabi1- Cheers for the opinion, just wondered what it was that you disliked so much about her?
Each to their own though eh doubt.gif

20vT seems nice. 290 seems nicer.

rear lights stick out like a sore thumb, need to be toned down abit if you ask me.

cant quite put my finger on it but something seems odd or missing. think its the wheel/stance combination. could just be the pictures.

either way i wouldn't say no thumbsup.gif
FeeDub
Ripley-
100% agree with you in the rear lights, i hate them lol
Was a case of the original's were damaged at Citygate (although i couldn't prove it! ) and were letting in water, i was told it would cost £150ish for a new set as you cannot buy individual lights and these were on Ebay for £70 delivered, so was no contest for a short fix, I am looking into getting new rear lights and will probably tint them rather than go after market again!

Can i just say though, thank you so much for your honest opinion, tis great to get feedback, be it good or bad and i appreciate the post thumbsup.gif

Roll on August!!! badgrin.gif
SCRAGG9N
vag lights from a dealer are about £35+vat

p.s nice car mate
FeeDub
I think i need to have a word with Citygate then, as they definitely said over £150 mark mad.gif
Will look into that, cheers fella razz.gif

Cheers Ste yeah i agree with you on the rears lol
Will be looking into something a tad different when she goes in for the engine work shortly, i do feel for the poor 9N it does seem to be the forgotten model with mods and kits sad.gif

BTW LOVING yours cool.gif

I really this your car Feedub. Having shown with you last year and seen the car in the metal so to speak, i can honestly say that this is my favourite mk6 so far - BRINT ON THE TURBO!!!! VVVVVRRRRRMMMMMMM PPPPSSSSSSSSTTTTT
FeeDub
Well thought i had best update this now i've had a couple more things done, she's been lowered on coil overs and had a subtle tint all round.
Still waiting to have the engine done as they seem to be like rocking horse poo to find confused.gif

T700BES
Apart from the rear lights (which are being changed)

I think its looovely

Very smooth wink.gif

ONly commet in the front bumper on the side has what looks like the start of a colour coded splitter but it isnt...

I think that should try to be smoothed out maybe??

In general TOP MARKS

Same colour as me too I think wink.gif

Hey i think the car looks great!,although i agree with everyone on the rear lights. A quick question tho do u have any problems with the wheels scrubbing on standard or new suspension? The reason i ask is I've gt a set of 17's frm my old car which I'm dying to put on but I've been told they wont fit!? nobody seems to be able to answer my question either.many thanks if you can help!
FeeDub
Everyone told me that my 8x17's wouldn't go on too, but with a 3mm spacer on the front they cleared the suspension fine.
But then i was determined to get the wheels on lol.gif
She's on 7x17's now (as the others are being refurbed) and even with the lowering she's still fine, hope that helps biggrin.gif

Oh and thanks for the great comments on Jazzy tis appreciated, thumbsup.gif

The 1.2 has gone but the badge is staying for the comedy factor unibrow.gif

The rims are powder coated which i think suits as the bump strip and other black detailing as it isn't polished doubt.gif

Might get the other set referbed something different though... paranoid.gif

hi mate. just wondering about the cost of your engine conversion? and whether you have any engine bay shots? looks smart mate
FeeDub
Cost??? yeah what ever you think it is gonna be double it!! haha
Nah seriously mine went into budget but it only due to really good friends helping me out.
Engine bay shots not as yet shes still in at the garage and then body shop for a few extra touches.
kane_471
I like it!
Gav9n
Any update on this? how much the air setup cost? get some pics up of this 1.8t transplant!
iDan
Not my thing but I admire the time and money you spent, the kind of work that you have done to it just doesn't suit the car personally, would look great on a golf mk4/5. But who am I to say, its your car do it how you want it!
chris.w
If it already has a 1.8t in it, I hope your getting bigger brakes soon!

fruitpolo
I don't like the body kit, or the rims..

Lower it on some chrome 16's and replace those silly bumpers and your away..
