    Kalahari beige

And never flooded. Apart from once which I think is why it's disintegrating underneath. I knew it was gonna fail the mot on a small patch so I thought I'd just wait for it to run out and then sort it out. I took it to the local garage just to have a look underneath so he could show me where the hole was..... Well there turned out to be several new holes along both sills and floor. So looks like I'm gonna get a lot of welding practice.

Where is my fuel pump relay

Cheers 👍 The fuel filter bracket was held on with some cable ties and rusty bolts and now looks like this. So a bit more metal to go back in....
  7. Has anyone carried out a diesel purge on a 1.2tdi polo ? I set up to do a diesel purge on the Polo (1.2tdi 6r 2013 model bluemotion) as its got 105k on it and is a bit lumpy at low revs and has a bit of a diesel knock. Anyway, I rigged up the supply and return lines from the high pressure fuel pump to the purge liquid container and looped the supply and return from the fuel lift pump pump together as I have done on a few cars before . Then tried to start it and it wouldn't, it just kept turning over without starting. So I tried again, ensuring that everything was primed but
  8. Just to close this one out . So, the garage has reset the TPMS with their VAG COM and the light is off but no fault found so all good for now ...unless it repeats itself!
  9. Hello, new here! It's only my second car so I'm not clued up too much and don't have the space to work on it anyway to have a look. Does this sound like a blowing exhaust in the below video? It's on a 1.0 TSI Polo 6C. Doesn't do it at every start up, but most, also revs are about 1250RPM when it does happen. Sounds purely awful as hell. Otherwise, about 1050RPM when it isn't sounding loud, towards the end of the video it just quietens down as the revs drop after roughly 20 seconds of the start. See link: https://streamable.com/g4q6yu Thank
  10. Hello to anyone based in the south west. I have to head to Plymouth to sort out a problem with my girlfriend's 6N2. Just wondered if there was anyone in the club from that area - I need to take the car to Liskeard so if anyone is around enroute (Plym/Saltash/Liskeard) and specifically if you have a 6N2 I wonder if I might be able to say hi and have a noose around your car. Date TBA - poss thurs./fri/saturday. Perhaps we could treat ourselves to a 'Spoons (repeat) coffee in The King Doniert! Cheers all 🙂

    085 gearbox shaft float

Have a look at this https://www.clubpolo.co.uk/topic/315921-help-with-085-gearbox-rebuild/?tab=comments#comment-2675708 There is a post from Mark that lists a load of PDF's that he uploaded for me with the setup of the various requirements for tollerances
  15. Hi, i have a ETG gearbox from a 6n2 GTi. With the 5th gear cover removed i'm able to wiggle the output shaft about 0.6mm radially, and about 0.6mm axially. Can anyone confirm how much float, if any the shaft should have. The input shaft seems to have no axial play, and minimal radial play. Thanks

    Help with "bodykit"

Golf headlights and centre lights are annoyingly about half to an inch bigger diameter and won't fit a Polo.
  17. I believe a fly-off is not the case. I got the lever off by cutting the handbrake cable. The nut for the cable was too rusty to even try opening it. Im guessing the rusty pivot for pawl or just rusty pawl is the answer for the lever. Now its soaked in wd40. Thanks for help!

    Help with "bodykit"

Yeti, do you have any other tips on exterior mods like the grill, like are golf 1 round lights the same as polo 86c lights?

  21. Hi all My mk2f has finally decided to rust really badly so I'm gonna fix it. I want to get the tank out so am trying to depressurise the fuel system but the relays I'm looking for are not on the ECU but seem to be by the fuses. But I'm not sure?!

    ABS PINOUT

No other breaks in the wiring according to the dealer wiring diagrams

    ABS PINOUT

Absolutely! So now I have to follow the harness. I saw it went up under the rear right passenger seat. It there a connector there which I can use to isolate the break?
  24. nige8021

    ABS PINOUT

You can get at the rear of the connectors by removing the whole dashboard !! or from the engine bay side Seems the easier option 🙂

    ABS PINOUT

Fantastic. Now I have a better chance of finding out where the problem is. Can you tell me how to locate the 9 pin connector on the bulkhead?

    ABS PINOUT

First Welcome to the forum. Pin 1 on the sensor G44 (Black wire) goes to a 9 pin connector on left side of bulkhead pin 8 then as a Blue/Red wire to pin 43 on ABS unit pin 2 on the sensor G44 (Brown wire) goes to a 9 pin connector on left side of bulkhead pin 9 then as a Grey/Red wire to pin 42 on ABS unit
