So being as poloshow is a pretty epic weekend and everyone has a good time i thought we should have a thank you section just to show our appreciation to all the work that goes on behind the scenes to make this show possible on a yearly basis

Polo Show 2014 Road Closure

Just a heads up warning, for anyone travelling there via the M1 Junction 15, the main road from the junction (A508) is signposted to be closed from next weekend 14th June till early July, there should be a signed diversion in place, if not this is a map of the diversion route in Yellow

Scottish Polo Show Convoy 2014

Well thought it about time to start the convoy thread since we are 'just' 6 months away from the show.

Are we going down a couple days early again as always and staying until the Monday?

So that would mean us getting there on the 18th June and leaving on the 23rd.

Thoughts, opinions, suggestions on what to do this year? Theme parks or something?

Will any of the noobies be joining us this year?

And the biggest question of all, do I take the GT or do I get the G40 on the road and take that?

Show and Shine @ Polo Show 2014 - Sunday

Albeit a little late, details for this years Show and Shine are as follows

To enter, come along to the Show & Shine control which will be stationed by me (Club Polo gazebo strategically placed on the field ), pay £5 (which this year will be going to charity) and collect an entry form from myself, then park up in the designated area

PLEASE DO NOT PARK YOUR CAR IN THE SHOW AND SHINE AREA UNTIL YOU'VE REGISTERED WITH MYSELF

Entries can be made from 9am up until 12pm, with judging running until 2pm, the competition is self judged by entrants with prizes for the top 3 cars. Please note you can not vote for your own car! :)

Along with the Top 3 Polo's in S&S, the People's Choice award makes a welcome return

People's Choice; voting slips for it will be available from myself on Sunday. Basically, its a chance for people attending the show to bestow an award to car which they think is most deserving of it. Please note that you can only vote for cars in the Show and Shine Competition!

All slips will need to be handed in by 2pm on Sunday and awards will then be presented in front of the marquee

Hey MailMan, ich hab zwei Pavillions und n'paar Fahnen besorgt und letzte Woche testhalber bei gutem Wetter I'm Vorgarten aufgebaut.

Ich denke so können wir in 2014 da antanzen, damit wenigstens etwas Stil auf den Platz kommt.

Polo Show 2014 - 20th to 22nd June- Show and Booking information

The Polo Show What is it?
The Polo Show is a social event held on 20th-22nd June 2014 that is put on by Club Polo which is open to all VW Polo owners from any Club.So if you are part of a local club bring everyone down and grab a spot in the field.

What to Expect?
A relaxed event where you can catch up with other members, see their cars and meet new people from the club. Expect a big club meet which lasts the weekend with some beers and BBQs!

Whats going on?
Details are yet to be finalised but plans are for the club BBQ to return on the Saturday night, Show and Shine on the Sunday. We are looking to have some things going Saturday day and hopefully a car related film on the Saturday night. There are also another German & VAG Show on at the same time at Billing so there should be lots to keep you occupied.

Where is it?

We have held the event here for a number of years and its an excellent venue which really suits the clubs event. There is food available on site and there are also a couple of pubs and a Fish & Chips shop in walking distance. There is also the Mini-Golf, Karting and a leisure centre with a pool.

What do you need?
If you are camping then you need the general camping gear of tent, sleeping bag, etc. If you want to clean your car up for the show and shine on the Sunday there is a cold water supply so bring your bucket and cleaning gear. Also bring some money but there is a cash machine by the entrance to the site.

How much does it cost and how to book?
If you are camping it cost £15 per pitch per night. A pitch is for a tent for up to 4 people the same as last year - if you have extra cars they may charge you extra.
If you are not camping then the Day Rate is £10 per car.

To get these rates you need to supply the booking code of Polo14 at the time of booking for advance tickets or for the day rate you can show your Membership Card at the gate or if you aren't members then tell them the discount code.
If you don't have either then you will have to pay £15 per person! This is due to all the other events that are going on the same weekend.

To book please call Billing on 01524 781 453 and be sure you say you are booking for the Polo Show (and ask to be put in Puddleduck field) and have the booking code handy.
