I know there is a lot of behind the scenes work going on in the club.

Polo show seemed a lot of effort from Mark and Sam in particular.

Now Mark is fleeing to the states to watch NASCAR all day and run moonshine across the state boarder by night, is someone covering and will we have a social date by say January?

I got a good few of Dougstar21's Mk3. Fell in love with this one a bit, and nearly didn't give the keys back after taking it round the field.

We had a really good turn out this year, thankfully we picked a good weekend, the sun shinning on the Saturday was bliss, think most got a tan of some sorts, I know Mark definitely did! however it did rain today but that didn't dampen the spirits, everyone braved the rain.

Hope everyone enjoyed the week/weekend, sadly we are saying goodbye to our Admin (Mark) as this was his last show. So a big thanks to him for setting up the ClubPolo (Social) Show's over the years.

I'll be sorting out all the pictures in the week and hope to show off on the forums (anyone who doesn't want their picture to be posted please get in contact, VRM's will be deleted for banner/front page etc).

All weekend;

Staff on the gate of the puddle duck camping area where the Polo Social is held.

Staff will be taking on the gate, Member names/ User name and Name along with registration number.

Upon entry receive show goodie bag.

Saturday;

Radio controlled car timed lap circuit (prize for fastest lap etc).

Slip and slide, weather permitting (It usually does).

Some solo traders/ CP members selling their wares.

Usual Saturday BBQ with a can and burger/ hot dog with your ticket received at the gate from Cp staff.

Semi-Professional photographer for car photography.

Sunday;

Show and Shine.

Trophy presentation.

As always all weekend there will be catching up, drinking beers, BBQ's etc along with the sights of Billing to see and walk around.

A very good friend of mine has moved to Washington DC and has left behind his beloved Polo GTi. He has been the only owner since he bought it in 2000. It has 44,000 miles and has been cherished. He really wants me to find a new owner that will cherish it as much as he did, so I'm thinking maybe I could bring it to your social at Billing?

So just a couple questions:

1. Do people sell things at your social?

2. Would I be welcome to bring it to your social as a For Sale item?

To enter the Show and Shine see one of the members of staff floating around (normally by the Marquee) and we will get you signed up. Entry is £5 but all of this money will go to charity and whatever is raised the club will match it. So even if you are not bothered about a trophy please still enter your car as the money does go to a really good cause which currently is Macmillan Cancer Support​.

The Show and Shine is self-judged so the most deserving cars are decided by the people who enter (no you can't vote for your own car! :) ) We also have a People’s Choice award which allows anyone attending the show to cast their vote. To get these slips also see one of the staff.

The whole weekend is a chilled out and relaxed one and this includes the Show and Shine. The whole point is to have a bit of fun and see some nice Polo's! :)

Hi, I'm based in Ashford, so we could make the main meeting point J10 or J9 of the M20 but I'm more than happy to stop off to allow others to join the convoy on the way!
