I'm the second owner of this little Polo 6C powered by the 1.2 16V TSI engine.

I bought it back in July 2020 during the COVID time...long time ago.

It's a CUP edition with dedicated rim "Portago", black mirror cap and grey/cermanic interior with sport's seats

She's equiped with sunroof, nice option adding lot of light making the interior look more spacious.

She had only 56000 km when I bought it and now she's over 178000 km.

Sor far so good no issue with it. I love it. The 90HP are enough when alone in the car and the engine is very, very economic.

-Lowered with Eibach spring (-30/-25mm)

-LED retrofit (roadlegal) by Osram

-VW official WRC spoiler

-Interior LED

I perform all maintenance on her (oil change, breaks/pads, suspensions etc...).

I pick up my new polo on Wednesday, it’s 2017 in white with DSG gearbox. 
 

looking forward to reading other build threads to get ideas for mods and upgrades.

16mm spacers on rears

Heko wind deflectors

Debadged side badges

Blacked out all other decals

Rear wiper delete

Rear light clusters changed

LED fog bulbs

Enabled auto door locking on movement

Disabled auto stop

Disabled rear wiper sweep on reverse

Disabled fog activation on turning

Speed increase by adding a go faster stripe 😉

So ive had my BlueGT for just over a week and I absolutely love it! 

Anyway i I have one little issue with it, well not so much an issue, I just need reassuring that it’s normal! 

Basically I'm a little concerned at how hard the ride is and that I can feel everything and every little imperfection of the road through the steering wheel? Is this normal on the Blue GT? 

All replies much appreciated. 

Technically I've never left Polo ownership since 2009, my first car was a 6n2 which I still own. Since since then I've owned some shocking vehicles, two Vauxhall Corsas & a Peugeot 307SW I suppose have to be the worst. 

So after my Fabia vRS kept throwing bill after bill at me,  I decided enough was enough. I looked at nearly new Polo GTI's, which were oddly enough more expensive than buying a brand new one. 

Choosing the spec was a bit of a difficult one for me,  I didn't want to over spec as with VW, and any manufacture I suppose, additions soon add up and you are soon up to Golf money! But obviously I didn't want to buy a new car and regret not speccing it well enough for the next 3 years or however long I keep it, so I want with the convenience pack & sport pack.

I cannot imagine many drastic modifications to the car to be honest, the idea of going with a new car was to make the most of a warranty.

So many plans but I've only had the car for under a month so any feedback would be appriciated, such as interior and exterior LEDs/HIDs and where to buy. I'm also wondering as to if I can buy wing badges with the word GT in blue like you can with the GTI ones? I'm finding it so difficult to find GT specific items anywhere.

Spec below -

Solid black, manual, parabolica wheels, tartan interior, sport performance pack, parking pack, centre armrest & added on the carnet app connect thingy today. 

Spoke to the dealer and should be able to get the aktuator (fake engine noise generator) switched off via VCDS (result)

Also treating it to some nice pressed number plates (ooo posh) but tbh that's probably about as far as I'll be taking the 'modding' 

One thing the dealer mentioned was that he couldn't place the order until Thursday, something to do with switching over to the 2017 model - got all excited until he mentioned the only thing changing this time was the AC liquid

Having owned my GTI for about 7 months now, and this being my 5th (one was only for a couple of months!) Polo, i decided i shoud join Club Polo! (Long overdue!) 

After browsing all the threads of peoples builds and how they have personalised thier Polos I thought i would make my own and let people see my progress.. if they wish! 

So my GTI is in Blue Silk, its 5 door (my first ever 5 door! Wasn't sure at first when i saw it but before leaving the showroom it grew on me, and now i love it! and not having to get out for passengers is great!!) after test driving the Polo in manual, and the golf is DSG, i decided to go for DSG, i know its not everybodys cup of tea but i thinks it's great! 

My optional extras are:

• Panoramic sunroof.
• Sport mode with DCC.
• Parking pack with reversing camera.
• Convinence pack (automatic everything).
• Electric folding mirrors.
• Car net with app connect.

So far i have done some very small changes (below) but i have a lot of plans!

• LED interior lights (and ive ordered some LED fog lights)
• HEKO wind deflectors
• Roof and tailgate wrapped black to match the sunroof surround.
• Rear windows tinted limo black, and fronts to 30%

Some of my plans:

• REVO induction kit (the only one i can seem to find anywhere!) 
• REVO Turbo muffler delete
• Miltek Sports Cat-back exhaust system
• Forge intercooler (may change my mind on the manufacturer before i buy!)
• Stage two map
• VWR Springs (20mm drop, designed to work alongside the DCC)
• Eventually some Alloys, but i have expensive taste in wheels so that wont be for a while!

If anybody has any suggestions i would love to hear them! :)

Just done my first mod.. Hecko wind deflectors. Quite easy to do, only took 15mins or so.

Got quite a few plans for this coming up, starting with tinting rear window later this week, custom / development exhaust at the end of the month, and maybe a bit of red vinyl to add some colour 😀

Once I'm happy with the exterior, let the performance modding commence 😀

Just purchased a 2015 polo BlueGT in black.

Was wondering if anyone had some good idea for additions to the interior and exterior.

Already in love with the car so looking for subtle changes.

Any help would be appreciated.

Test drove the ST and vxr but the Gti won quite clearly lol love the thing to bits even though it took forever to arrive lol

First time poster. It appears I have a post. More of a lurker.

I got my Polo new back in March of this year. I do a lot of motorway commuting so economy was a primary factor when choosing the car. I settled on the 1.4 TDi which is averaging 70MPG with my highest hitting 84MPG :)

Not everything has been smooth sailing. The EGR failed after just 300 miles and took VW a month to fix.

During this time I had a VW Up 1.0 for a week which has to be the worst car I have ever driven.

I also had a top of the range 2015 Golf SV GT TDi with DSG for 2 weeks which I loved.

This model also has the full LED DRLs and LED headlights which I was told were new to models starting late 2015 / early 2016. They are amazing and easily my favourite feature.

Car Spec:

• Flash Red
• sunroof
• sport package
• DSG
• reverse camera
• Light Pack

Since owning I have:

• removed middle silencer
• added HEKO deflectors
• red VW caps
• GTI footrest
• Gearbox Recalibration (essential after 1000miles on DSG box)
• on-screen option of turning off/dimming the DRL's - through Vagcom
• private plate

Got a lot more planned, mostly custom touches. Next on list is the fogs and interior lights (on order). then looking to wrap/spray skirts and rear diffuser Gloss Black, same with the wing mirrors.

maybe somewhere down the line... change the wheels to keep standards fresh and give a different look to the car. (budget of £250 - let me know if you are selling!! :D)

Considering an Air Intake to go in alongside the removal of the silencer.

Leather seat covers to keep the original tartan seats clean and fresh.

So far so good with my ownership of the 5 speed 1.2l Petrol Turbo Polo,

Picked it up from the dealer on Wednesday and done 300km so far.

Was lucky to pick it up so quickly - close to impossible to locate one in any dealers here in Sydney and the wait is November at least.

Had a productive day and the pics speak for themselves. Just need to have it lowered and will be the idea in my head completed for a nice tidy daily driver.

For reference, the rims are 17x8 + 35 with 205/40/17.
