  1. Having a really hard time trying to find wheels that will go with my Mk2f, was just wondering if you could show me what wheels you have or recommend some?
  2. Noticed a big difference in the feel of the brake pedal yesterday so I put the car up and took the wheels off to have a look.. The front off-side calliper was loose!! I found that the top slide pin was no longer holding the calliper onto the steering knuckle. Turns out the threads have been stripped and the slide pins were not it great condition either! Can anyone suggest any safe ways of repairing the existing steering knuckle? Could I repair the threads and replace the slide pins? Need help with this asap. I will buy a replacement part next month but I daily my car for work etc. and need a quick, safe temporary fix until then :(

Mk 7 Polo required for Volkswagen event

Hi all I've been asked to find a Mk 6/7 Polo (2002-2009) for a Volkswagen UK event next January – also see my post in the Mk 6 page. The car required has to be a mainstream model (ie E, S, SE, Sport, 16V possibly) and has to be unmodified if at all possible. It also has to be available for three days at the start of January. If you've got such a car, post a photo or email me at rich@polodriver.com and I'll take a look and get in touch if I think the car is suitable. Cheers! Rich PoloDriver.com

    The 1.4TDI

Bought this wee piece last November. She's had a hard life up until now and I've spent a fair wad bringing her up to standard again. http://s192.photobucket.com/user/lmillar203/media/1EBE2593-3E67-4F5A-9FB4-92A54D22867B_zpsrgmsrjuw.jpg.html[/IMG] Paid £420 for this wee tank :)

  10. I have always wanted a harlequin as they are so different and rare! How much are they actually worth in good or poor condition? I have seen a couple for sale the last year and the prices vary greatly and they always seem to stay on ebay for quite away as if people aren't paying the money that is asked..? Thanks in advance -Shane
  11. Hello I just bought a 6n2 tdi! However it doesn't have fog lights. I have just bought some for the car. Reading online I see some people mention the wiring should already be in place? I have pulled the front grills off and can't find any pre existing wiring for fog lights? Has anyone else done this before here who could offer some guidance? Kind Regards -Shane

    Got myself another 6n!

Hi Guys Haven't done a build thread before so if its a bit all over place im sorry. So bought this about 2 weeks ago now. Polo 6n 1.4 8v in red, had 2 owners since new and has full service history, 85000 miles and not to bad condition. now i had bought a 6n a little while ago to break for parts bought for £200 and manged to get off it - 6n2 gti wheels with 4 good tyres - coilovers -Tinted rear lights -clear side lights - smoked side indicators - and a few other random bits for another project of mine so all in all money well spent, ended up making £100 on the car and still manged to keep all the parts above I also managed to get hold of a set of Stuttgart wheel that i had been looking for ages for at a really good price, so had quite a few things already to get me started. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So anyway back to the car, so bought the car like this at 12 on Saturday Got to have a quick look back then 5 hours later after fitting everything i had it looked like this Happy with everything so far but needed more, a lot more! Had a few problems with the rear rubbing like a bitch so had to go back to the drawing board. Ended up finding so 16v bumpers, front, rear and spoiler all for £50 but needed some serious TLC as the paint was F$$cked. Managed to get the back and fitted the rear one which ended up going on like a dream no issues what so ever. While i had the rear up i thought ill add a little camber not to much (will add better pics soon) Painted it up just roughly because car is getting completely re sprayed soon just didn't want to drive round with a grey bumper. (Again more pics to be added shortly) Now what happened next took me by surprise....... to be continued
  13. Hi everyone, Getting a bit bored of being extremely slow in my 1.0L 6N2 (Which yes is obvious it's going to be slow) but until I get my other car on the road, is there anything relatively easy or cheap to do to get a tiny bit extra hp? Obviously there's exhaust's, turbo etc. but just more simple stuff? Had an idea of a little re-map, but doubt anyone could/would do a 1.0L... Thought maybe air filters, although not sure how that would work as there inside the engine cover? Or maybe an EGR delete/blank? But not sure if that would really be worthwhile. Any ideas? Thanks!
  14. Hey have looked on forums but can't find any info on dash bulbs specifically instrument cluster bulbs. MK2 polo breadvan 1983. Are they specific to this model or can you use any old dash bulbs?
  15. Hi lads, I'm on the lookout for an afk engine to replace my akk engine. If I can find one, would this be a straight forward swap? I would intend to remove current engine and box and replace with afk engine and box. I'm also assuming that the ecu and clocks need to be swapped. Thanks for any help! Paul
  16. After polo 6n2 gti bits really e.g splitters grills ,hella lights etc but offer what you've got pfa
  17. Hey guys, I have a volkswagen polo 9n here and my question is, I was about to buy new alloys when I realised they were 9j on the rear and 8j on the front, now ive done some research and a lot of people say its fully possible once the arches are rolled, some people are saying its not possible whatsoever and some people are saying its easily possible without the arches rolled and i'm a little lost, has anyone got any advice or does anyone have a similar situation that can help me out?
  18. I currently have a petrol polo estate. It would look as if it is leaking fuel. I want to replace the fuel lines but I cannot find anywhere that sells a new kit anymore. This means I will need generic tube. GSF and Euros sell this but I have no idea which diameter I need. does anyone know what tube I would need to replace my feed and take fuel tube. Added a couple pics. Thank you in advance!
