  1. Im loving my 84 1.3 polo, its great on the narrow backroads near me.. but I don't feel like I've got the best out of it handling wise. I've got some 14/6j wheels on which started with 195/45 toyo proxies, and now some other 185/55s which ride much better. Also full poly bushings. Sofar i've tried 60/40 H&R cup suspension all round, i found it too harsh and basically track oriented which wasnt working. Next up new stock shocks with kilen 40mm springs, not much better... it wasn't so low and softer but the dampening and lack of travel just didn't feel great. I'm now back to

  3. I am in the process of rebuilding a 1.3 engine for my mk2 polo, and am about to fit the camshaft and time it up. However I am unsure which of the two key ways on the cam the pulley is supposed to lock into to allow the timing marks to be correct. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Thanks, Jordan

Went to the car wash earlier on, came out from there to Asda which is literally 500 mtrs up the road,did some shopping went back to the car and it wouldn't start,so called AA out,Guy said that it wasn't anything to do with the car wash but a spontaneous thing to happen.He took a plug out to see if there was a spark and nothing zilch.So anyway just got towed back to my home.???Does anyone one here have a clue as to what has happened with the car. Any answers on this would be great as i need my car for work on monday.

Polo 9n GT tdi 130pd BLT engine 2005 I need to know what egr is needed for this engine and if it’s the one that has the anti shudder valve as I have this plug hanging around and now engine management light on and has been mapped out and that but you can’t map the eml out ... Ps it has a egr delete It I think it’s the wrong one as I think it should have the asv attracted as that’s what the cable is for...... when I did the delete that plug was never plugged in and there was no asv there either

Okay so my car cut out again this morning, started fine, idled fine half choke and drove off fine, wouldn't rev high whilst on choke, wouldn't idle whilst off choke, then 100 yards down the road cut out and wouldn't start, just kept turning over and turning over for about 5 minutes then eventually started to pick up and started again. I must be getting air in from somewhere on the carb as I've tried richening up the mixture to no avail, gunsons colourtune shows no change in colour no matter hkdow far you adjust the mixture screw and gas tester shows .6-1.1 co on idle, plugs are white Th

    Hi, first of all I'm new here. I drive a 99 polo 6n. I have been doing bits to it but I'm researching on doing an engine conversion. I have picked up a vw beetle 2.0 engine and running gear, ecu and loom ect for next to nothing with low milage has anyone ever done this swap or above to point me in the right direction with some tips on how to fir ect with regards to mountil the engine?     Had a dream that we moved into a new house and previous owner had left a mk2f saloon in the garage. No rust, big spec - headlight washers, front fogs, sunroof - the lot. Went to give it a service. Popped off the oil cap. Blown head gasket.

    Hi there thought I start a build thread from a year ago from when I bought the car. I was 16 what I bought it as a car to learn how to do things on as I had use of a ramp at a local garage as I was a Saturday boy there. I bought it for 200£ with a months on it!   19. I'm planning to swap my 1.0l 8v AUC lupo engine out for a 1.4 8v AUD engine. My ecu and engine is an earlier model that only has one lambda. my question is which model ECU's use just the one lambda, guessing it's going to be an earlier one the same as I already have now for my 1l, but there seems to be quite a few variations. I am currently in need of a 2015 1.8 Polo GTi, 3DR for photography and laser scanning work. MT is preferred, but DSG would also be ok.
