  1. A happy new year to all. I hope you can help me with the following, or point me towards one of your members who may be able to assist? I am currently in need of a 2015 1.8 Polo GTi, 3DR for photography and laser scanning work. MT is preferred, but DSG would also be ok. I would take photos and videos of the car exterior, interior, light displays and also have a wheel removed by trained staff and the car lifted up on a vehicle lift to allow photography and filming of the underside. The work would take place at a secure car storage facility in Hampshire, and would take approximately 5 hours to complete. The work is of a confidential nature, so would appreciate your discretion, but I can say that all work would be covered under Sony corporate insurance arrangements. We would like to undertake this work in the next 4-6 weeks if possible. We would be happy to pay the owner all petrol costs at 40p per mile, lunch on the day, and also a payment of £500 for the use of the car for the day. Please let me know if you have any questions on the above, and I look forward to your feedback when possible. Many thanks in advance for your assistance. best regards, Simon Roberts simon.roberts.pdi[AT]g mail[DOT]com

  3. Hi there , just wondering if coilovers off a mk1 golf would fit a 1999 mk3 polo many thanks
  4. Hi there, after spending numerous hours in the freezing cold with a multimeter I can say that there isn't a wiring issues on the drivers door of my 2005 VW polo, this part (see image) is attached to the window motor on the drivers side door. Im assuming it's responsible for the 'one touch' feature with the windows as they are able to open and close without you having to hold the switch. However through some testing I have figured that this might be why both windows are working intermittently. I came to this conclusion when I turned the ignition switch on and pressed the window switch down on both sides of the car and got nothing. I then proceeded to remove the larger plug from the top of this part and place it back in and then to my surprise the windows worked, and then they stopped, the issue I'm having is that the windows didn't stop working after I turned the ignition off and then back on again, it was almost as if it were timed. There is no corrosion on any of the contacts and non of the pins/clamps are bent out of place. is it worth spending £35 to replace this part in hopes it fixes the issue or have I wondered from the beaten track. please advise thanks very much.

    L468 SYJ 1993 Polo

I was wondering if anyone knew the whereabouts of this dark blue Polo, my boyfriend sold it in August 2016 and regrets it - hoping to know the whereabouts or potential of buying it back. It had a 1.3 engine in it when sold but originally had a 1 litre which I believe was sold with it. Its MOT ran out last summer and it's currently SORNed. Hoping somebody might be able to help!
  6. Hi there I have a 13 year old 2005 VW Polo MK4 1.4 diesel 3 door. Just recently both front electric windows have stopped working intermittently. There is no clicking sound from either of the motors so that means there is no power being supplied to them and the windows are definitely not stuck because when they work they move with ease. There are no other electrical issues with the car, both electric mirrors work ant the central locking buttons on the driver door work with no problem and there are no issues with the wipers, dash lights, indicators, screen-wash pump. At first I thought it might be the 25 amp fuse but there is nothing wrong with it and just to prove it wasn't the fuse I replaced it and still nothing. One thing I can't wrap my head around is that both the window switches on the drivers door or the passenger door don't work yet the switches still light up when you turn the lights on which means the switches do have power to them. After seeing that the lights on the switches were working I tried the windows and still nothing. Would really appreciate it if someone knew more about this than I. Thanks for the help -Tom
  7. I am currently in the process of rebuilding a small block 1.3, and am having trouble finding anywhere to buy the dome shaped breather that presses into the side of the block. I looked on vwheritage and ebay but had no luck. Does anyone have any idea where I might find one? Thanks, Jordan

    2019 Calendar Entries

It's that time of year again, we are looking for entries for the 2019 Club Polo calendar. The rules are simple, just post up a picture, the picture must be one that you have taken (or you have the permission of the photographer to use it) and you must be able to send me a high res or raw version. We as always want well thought out scenic photos. There are 12 months plus a cover picture that we need to fill. If you have a specific month you'd like to see your picture if it were chosen then by all means let us know when submitting your entry. I'll start the ball rolling with a picture I took of @Ross36's Polo G40. DSC_0326 by Steven Thomson, on Flickr

    Polo 9N3 Bumper Help

Evening all I was just wondering if anyone can tell me if the front bumper of a 9n3 polo comes apart, mainly the part in the middle, I'm wanting to paint it black like the gti. I know I could do it by just masking the bumper off but it'd be much easier and i'd get a better finish if I could remove the centre section and paint it indoors. Thanks in advance, Dan

    Polo9N3

I have a polo 1.4 9n3 16v. I am wondering if anyone knows how easy or hard it is to fit a turbo to my car. Obviously I wouldn’t be installing anything to crazy just a small turbo to boost my car. I have seen people saying this isn’t good for the car but surely a small turbo with all the correct additionals needed wouldn’t cause any major problems?

Mk3 Polo from the Emerald Isle

Hi Folks 🙋‍♂️ A few months ago with the encouragement from a few close friends of mine I took the leap and decided to buy a project car. After looking around for a while, nothing seemed to catch my eye. So the search continued, and one day I stumbled across a little MK3 polo for sale. The car was advertised as needing painted .... LOL So I went to view the car and this was the shape it was currently and actually the way I bought it the car surprisingly needs little welding but has had the interior ripped out as previous owner had planned on turning into a van but hey ho I'm sure you guys on here will help guide me to completion of this project. Mk2f polo 1.0 4 speed 51,000 There has been a lot of changes and planning this last few months which I shall update you all with soon.

  13. Hey guys and girls! First post here but I’ve been looking through these forums for a couple months now and they’ve been so useful! Absolutely love my Polo 6N2, my first car and I couldn’t be happier! But I do have one reoccurring problem which is really starting to annoy me. I keep getting a check engine light come on, and after scanning the ECU I get the following code: P0134 - O2 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 1 Sensor 1) Got my local mechanic to replace the lambda sensor. Car worked perfect for a couple weeks until I got another P0134. He said that the part was faulty (its a genuine Bosch part cost me £130) and he replaced it. Now a couple months later I’m getting the P0134 error again and the lambda sensor is not working (poor economy, poor performance). I thought originally it could be wiring related but since the new sensor worked for a couple months I thought it must be the sensor. I don’t know what to do and I doubt my mechanic is going to replace the part again (he always wants the car in for ‘diagnostics’ and basically hates my pride and joy). Side note: recently under hard acceleration every now and again cylinder 3 will misfire (assume I need to fit new spark plugs in). Could this in anyway cause the lambda to fail? Really annoying that the car is currently slower than usual and burning a lot more fuel (passengers always complain of fuel smell) Thank you so much for reading!
  14. Hi all I've been contacted by Volkswagen UK who would like a Polo Harlequin for an event at the end of the month. I've no idea what the event is, but am guessing that they want a standard car. Usually with these, if the car is loaned to VW, a loan car is substituted in its place, but I don't know if this is the case with this one. At the moment, I think anything will be considered, so if you have a showroom (or very tidy) Harlequin and are interested, then reply to this thread, send me a message on Twitter @polodrivercom or email rich@polodriver.com. Cheers! Rich PoloDriver.com

    My mk2f polo conversion

So, recently purchased a 1991 mk2f polo with a 6n2 engine and gearbox conversion. Stripped the whole shell out today, no seats inside but a lot of wiring hanging around. Looking for ideas to use for the rear as I’m leaving the back seats out so wanting to board it and carpet the rear but need some great ideas to go with! Thanks guys

    My little project

Going to document the work I do on my polo that has been stood for 4 years, ive already got it through and mot by doing some welding, the anti roll bar bushes and a new exhaust. Next up will be an engine swap.
  17. My polo 1.0 se’s Blower would only work on number 4, so I did some research and discovered that it was the heater resistor. I replaced it and now the blower works on all 4, however there is a fishy burning sort of smell when the blower is on either 1,2 or 3. I wondered if anyone knows what the cause of this is and what I should do?

    My Polo

    Hey! I'm a new member of ClubPolo.co.uk. Here's my 1994 MK2F 1.3 Polo.
  19. Recently I have bought a VW Polo 6n2 1.4. Been doing a little bit of research on wheels as the alloys that came with the car are pretty scuffed up and not really wanting to refurb them. I have bought a set of mx5 (4 x 100 ) which when I’ve looked up said they were the same fitmemt as the alloys originally on however the spigot seems to be slightly too small, the wheel won’t slide on 😕 does anybody have any recommendations into making them to fit? Or have I been stupid and got something wrong? Cheers Charles
  20. Hi to all fellow VW enthusiasts! So I just recently purchased my 2F “Match” edition which was the last of the run out models so came with the sport radar alloys and Sony flip stereo as standard (so a slightly special model 🤣) What IS so special about this particular car though is that it used to belong to my grandad from brand new and I remember the day that he got it back in 94. Growing up I spent many an hour in the back of his Polo on trips out with my brother. Long story short but the car was sold 8 years ago (my grandad sadly passed away) and that was that...... Fast forward to the present day and after attending a few car shows I have been wanting an old VW in my life to play with (it was an itch I had to scratch) I never thought though that I would actually track down my grandads old Polo!! Even though it had been off the road a few years, a deal was struck (she had changed hands 3 more times and was just festering on a driveway) some fettling and a new battery got the old girl going and I have started to bring her back to her former self (so far, new steering column with ignition, new front wing, tyres, brakes and a service) and I intend to keep her standard as the day my grandad bought her 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Thanks for reading my story, welcome any thoughts/ideas/suggestions! 👌🏻
  21. Ladies & Gents Within a few weeks of collecting my Polo SEL in May of this year I managed to scratch the centre vent console whilst taking out the USB cable used to power my mobile. Rather than simply leaving it I couldn't resist trying to get the scratch out and, yes you've guessed it, I've made a right mess of it and really can't live with it for the next five years or so. My less than helpful dealer eventually gave me what they said was the part number - V2G2858415ACRGK - and quoted £270 which appears excessive for what appears to be a relatively small pop in/pop out console? I've searched the net under the part number but have had no hits. I would appreciate any help please. Regards Sheps
  22. Hello, I have recently purchased a 2006 polo TDI knowing it had a few electrical faults. One of these faults is that when the weather gets cold the central locking and windows fail to work. Stereo interior lights still work. Any ideas of where this issue could lie? Many thanks

    Lots of Polo Parts

Lots of polo parts from MK2s mostly, although a few from other models. Prices are upon request as there are so many, but for the purposes of forum rules, everything is £5. In reality I'll just want to cover postage costs and maybe a few pounds to fund the ongoing restoration. Parts range from tiny trim clips to whole panels. List is accessed via the link below https://1drv.ms/x/s!AjU5ikMqY-bbcx1FaUX-e28LASU
  25. Hi guys! Massive issue! I don’t know is anyone here can help!
