Hi all, I need to get a new piece of fuel line for the wife's 2004 Dune, its a 1.4 TDI, see picture with pipe marked in red circle The fuel line split on the M5 and emptied the contents of the tank between Devon and wales, i managed to find a piece of spare pipe to get me home. The engine is now running rough and it looks like the fuel hose i put on temporary is being sucked together so i assume its restricting fuel flow... Im trying to find a part number but cant, spoke to GSF locally and they said it has no number they just supply a length of fuel hose but need the correct "Bore size"... can anybody tell me what the correct fuel line spec is and its Bore size? many thanks
Hello Is BNV engine code a straight swap with AMF engine ? I understand it has different power but apart from that can i remove BNV and put AMF instead. Are there any other alterations required like wiring or turbo? Thanks in advance.
Hi, I am new here and was wondering if anyone has fitted the 1.4 tdi engine to a petrol car. I was wondering about how much wiring differences there is for the diesel glowplugs, relay, etc. And if all that comes through with the engine loom and hopefully into a standard wiring set up in the car which caters for all 6N2s or are they fuel specific main car interior looms? Both cars are "S" model 5 doors, I was thinking to change fuel tank, filler hose and even lines, etc. I think I have to probably change the subframes too. Basically what I am asking is has anyone done this before, and do i have to strip both cars down to near enough bare shells to complete this? I already own both cars, and know it would be cheaper to buy another 6n2 tdi, and I have spoken to DVLA who assured me the completed car will be 30pa road tax if i get it emission tested and it is still the same as in original tdi. Many thanks for any advice that saves me bareshelling the pair of them needlessly lol Andy
Just bought my mums 2004 Polo Dune which shes owned from new, I want to tune it up as the standard 75bhp is a bit limp nowadays. I've read on here that the 3-cylnder diesel engine is good for about 120bhp before any issues start.... without loosing the great MPG! I was wondering about one of these bluetooth OBD readers and the torque app ive heard so much about... or do i just take it to a tuning shop...any recommendations would be great I assume from reading other posts my car is OBD2 compliant?
