Hi all, got my cbr600 carbs running pretty well on my 6n. Sounds mint and has a fair bit of go despite not having had them tuned properly yet. just wondering whether anyone has managed to adjust their throttle pedal travel with carbs? Currently it’s only got about a quarter of its normal travel until I’m at full throttle which makes Rev matching and modulating the throttle pretty tricky. Thinking of making some kind of adjustable pivot point to bolt onto the carbs, to go between the stock cable and the cable that’s attached to the butterflies. Are ther

Hi, trying to plan out my bike carb build for my 6n to crack on with once I’ve replaced the sills. I am wondering whether I’ll be able to run carbs with my standard ecu (AEX) Leaving all the sensors in place, and moving the map sensor (I think these use a map sensor?) to the new manifold on its own balanced takeoff. I’d fuel using a t piece and probably have it remapped If necessary and the carbs tuned. Reason for wanting to do this being that I REALLY hate wiring, and really love spending less money on things 🙂 thanks

Hello Forum. I need some help with these alloys. Right now I'm driving with the standard 165/65R14 tyres. I brugt these new wheels 185/60R15 will these fit on my Polo 9n from 2003 without any problems? Please I'm in need. Thank you.

I've done an engine swap on my lupo to a 1.4 AUD engine. Upon installing the engine test firing and running on my old 1l ECU the engine ran fine but randomly cuts out for no reason. Pulled out my 1.4 ECU and swapped that in, the. During the process of installing the code box for the new ECU I immediately noticed that my plugs were different. I have vag tacho, and vcds, is there a way of removing the code off the 1.4 ECU and pasting the one from my 1l in so the engine runs? Thanks X

I hope you guys appreciate the car as much as I do ! Cheers !

I've just gone to change the brake fluid on my AEX 6n, did both rears fine but got to the front and it looks like someone has taken a hacksaw to the bleeder screw? Can't get a grip on it at all with moles, or by heating and bashing on a smaller socket. Its seized in pretty tight anyway. As it had got dark i tried continuing the change by taking the brake hoses off the calipers and just letting the fluid run clean, then tightening again. This was probably a stupid move as the brakes have basically lost all power, only biting the tiniest bit when the pedal's on the floor 😞

polo 9n tdi gearbox oil leak question
performancevw posted a topic in Engine, Transmission and Exhaust
hello i have a question about gearbox oil leak on a 1.4 tdi polo 9n. Oil is not leaking massively but i can see small drop of oil sitting on bolt where VW logo is. Picture attached. This VW plate is held by 2 bolts. I think it is leaking from the plate and siting on the bolt as thats where gearbox is wet. Is it possible to remove this vw plate, resealing it without moving any internal parts or is this plate holding something internally? Thank you. -

Has anyone used a tuning chip on a 1.4 8v 6n (AEX)? There’s one advertised online for about £50 and states a gain of 6-8bhp with improved fuel economy, less flat spots etc. Trying to figure out if this is snake oil or will genuinely get a bit more fun out of my little engine. any thoughts?

9n3 Polo FSI coolant temperature sensor location
nadz156 posted a topic in Engine, Transmission and Exhaust
Decided to have a crack at replacing the sensor as it seems like a 2 min job, however being a complete noob, my brain was frazzled after opening the engine cover. Is the green thing in the photo the sensor? Any help would be appreciated, cheers. -
VW POLO S 2007 9N3 REMOTE LOCKING INSTALLATION
Mooki78 posted a topic in ICE, Electrical and Lighting
Greeting to everyone, For those who are familiar with this or already done this installation, I have a polo 2007 9n3 S and it does not come equipped with remote locking features. I am looking to install this soon as I constantly scratch my cars paint and is annoying at times. After doing some research it seems like the oem installation looks the most straightforward, Any help would be much appreciated. -
Hi all, I have an old VW Polo 1.4 TDI (2001) that's been sitting unused for over 3 years now (I know.. life just got a bit crazy). The reason I didn't sell it the moment I got a new car is : - There was an intermittent starting issue which I spent a fair bit of money getting looked at but it never got fixed. Eventually the MOT guy said it's probably the fuel pump relay as he's seen it before with these cars. There was an intermittent indicator stalk issue where smoke would come out of it! Again, it was looked at but never fixed.. I couldn't sell it in good conscience li

Where to start??? (i'll make it as short as possible) Noise when idling which goes away once clutch is depressed.. After much research possibly two culprits; 1. release bearing. 2. input shaft bearing. Took gearbox out to GEARBOX SPECIALIST who gave it a external examine (spinning & listening to the moving parts) Advised by said specialist to change clutch as it could be just that and it may be more cost effective as, if he opens it up and finds nothing it'll cost, popped new clutch it, got gearbox on (replaced gear oil) started car, noise still there but a
