  1. Hi all, I recently bought the chrome dial set from the GTI variant for my 1.4 (6N2 model). And this has got me wanting to try fit a ambient temperature sensor (which as they’re the same platform I imagine is possible), however never having looked over a gti to see where it would mount and the cabling goes I’ve hit a bit of a brick wall! Is anyone able to shed some light on where the sensor sits and cables run?

    VW Polo 6N 1.4 8v Open Air

Hey guys, So here is my VW Polo 6N 1.4 8v Open Air with 60 hp from November 1996. The car recently have been painted and the engine all rebuilt, the car is pretty much brand new ! Now I'm focusing in the interior, specially the roof. I have leak on the sunroof that is driving me mad ! I've been trying to fix it for the last 4 years... I hope you guys appreciate the car as much as I do ! Cheers !
  3. Hello, I was wondering if anyone had any feedback on cold air induction kits for 9n3s and which ones would be good to go for? Cheers. AJ
  4. Hi all, had a few codes come up on the vag com the other day and wondered what I can do to sort them... 00518 - Throttle Position Sensor-Signal Out of Range(G69) Also check for loose ECM power relay 00530 - Throttle Position Sensor-G8 00533 - Idle Air Control Regulation
  5. Need some help please! It was a while back now, but when I started my car one morning the heating would only work if I put it on full blast (4). It worked once after that; I left the dial on 2 overnight and when I switched the engine on it was working for about 30 seconds/1 minute across the whole spectrum, however when I then turned the dial to 0 then back on again, it would no longer work unless on 4. I'm not going to lie i'm not great with electrics, so any help with regards to what it might be or how I can fix it would be appreciated. Thanks, Tom.

  8. Just wanted to know if a cone filter will go on my 6n2 as i dont want to pay £35 each for a panel air filter Cheers!!
  9. Ever since i bought my car the air-vents have whistled as i drive even with all the switches off. So not long ago i was putting the dash back in and saw the vents and thought "how do those come apart" as a result i became distracted and the dash got left on the front seats, the result would be the most interesting and amazing guide on club polo . . . how to stop those interior vents from leaking air. So first of all remove vent. Many will know how i imagine but just incase there is a screw behind the vent that you can undo by putting a screw driver through. Or it will come out anyway because someone already broke the plastic said screw goes into. Then you will have this . . . First of all the plastic lever bit (technical term) needs to come off, if like mine then it will resist, i levered with a screw driver but you might risk breaking. After this you need to remove plastic inside, i found it easiest to press on the top and bottom of the casing while pulling the plastic bit out. Inside the groove there will be that hidious perished foam that will need to be cleaned out. Then get a strip of foam that's long enough to go round all four sides and then add glue into the grooves. Then put the foam in best you can and then work round all sides with a flat blade screw driver to finnish off. Next trim the the foam, better to not trim enough than too much. Now put everything back together, see how it works, if it doesn't turn too easy then take back out and trim more foam, the sides need more off than the top and bottom. And there you go, interesting stuff i know.
  10. Hey All! I'm looking to buy a 6n2 Polo GTi in a few months time and am trying to come up with a list of mods I could do to it, I've been trying to find out about air filters and induction kits that work well with the 6n2 GTi and was just wondering if anyone could shed some light on the subject? I've heard about K&N Typhoon kits, but also about the BMC CDA kits? pros and cons to both? also what is better for sound and performance? I saw somewhere that open cone filters are a bit of a pain on the 6n2 too due to the heat? Any help would be appreciated! Jack

Mk3 Polo Coupe Gt with Air Ride

Thought i'd make this polo look a little smarter as the previous owners, in my opinion, didnt do the best job at styling it. Its a '91 alpine white gt with 51k on the clock, havair 2 way air ride set up (apparently £4000s worth...), chipped ecu, and apparently g40 head - not that i wouldve thought that makes any difference? correct me if I'm wrong i used to own an ep3 civic but little things were going wrong and niggling at me and then to make things worse the insurance was too expensive so saw this on ebay (a lot of you probably recognise it) always wanted air ride, even though its not the most conventional car to have it on, sold the civic and bought this for what i think was worth it - £2200.. so heres how i bought it... then when i got home, with the spare cash, i bought one of these... a set of these... some yellow tint for the headlights and red tint for the tail lights and heres how its looking at the moment. say what you want, yes i agree it was a little pricey but going by the condition I'm happy! its great fun to drive too!
