Hi Folks 🙋♂️ A few months ago with the encouragement from a few close friends of mine I took the leap and decided to buy a project car. After looking around for a while, nothing seemed to catch my eye. So the search continued, and one day I stumbled across a little MK3 polo for sale. The car was advertised as needing painted .... LOL So I went to view the car and this was the shape it was currently and actually the way I bought it the car surprisingly needs little welding but has had the interior ripped out as previous owner had planned on turning into a van but hey ho I'm sure you guys on here will help guide me to completion of this project. Mk2f polo 1.0 4 speed 51,000 There has been a lot of changes and planning this last few months which I shall update you all with soon.
Hi everyone, recently bought myself a car some may know/have seen due to its feature in FastCar magazine, well the car was sold in march for £2500 to someone who really never looked after the car, ran it into the ground, and didnt care about it, i seen the car come up for sale and seen the potential in it straight away. I sold up my impreza and made the journey in a recovery truck to collect her. The bad bits list is never ending .. 4 bald tyres wheels need a refurb no tax no mot no cd player as it was stolen no windows worked drivers door loom was melted/ caught fire wires and cables everywhere bumper scratched/ grazed bonnet covered in water marks due to face mask small dents in body work very dirty drivers side front bearing gone no handbrake rear brakes needed done front brakes needed done ABS sensor away and soo on .. the good parts now 2 way rayvern air ride suspension, shortened struts and firestone bags 380cc Compressor 6.5j Banded space savers tidy enough car except the dirt and dings false floor smoothed boot GTI seats GTI Headlights and only 75k miles on the clock Full face mask "gimp" mask will be for sale, aswell as banded space savers with 4 brand new tyres soon.
Thought i'd make this polo look a little smarter as the previous owners, in my opinion, didnt do the best job at styling it. Its a '91 alpine white gt with 51k on the clock, havair 2 way air ride set up (apparently £4000s worth...), chipped ecu, and apparently g40 head - not that i wouldve thought that makes any difference? correct me if I'm wrong i used to own an ep3 civic but little things were going wrong and niggling at me and then to make things worse the insurance was too expensive so saw this on ebay (a lot of you probably recognise it) always wanted air ride, even though its not the most conventional car to have it on, sold the civic and bought this for what i think was worth it - £2200.. so heres how i bought it... then when i got home, with the spare cash, i bought one of these... a set of these... some yellow tint for the headlights and red tint for the tail lights and heres how its looking at the moment. say what you want, yes i agree it was a little pricey but going by the condition I'm happy! its great fun to drive too!
