  4. Hi, I'm Tim, currently living in the Netherlands, where they say the grass is greener . Having grown up in a Volvo family I'm now making my foray into VWs! Here is my ''new'' Polo 1.4 8V (09/2000): Sadly an automatic, but for the mileage (170k kms), MX history, condition inside+out and the price - undeniably a steal. I'm looking at lowering it on a good+cheap (i know) spring+shock combo or coils, OEM wheels maybe from the GTI? Or mk4 Golf hubcaps... but keeping it simple and clean for now. Looking forward to being a member of this community!

    RCD 200 Aux

Hi all, I have a mk 4 2008 polo with an RCD 200 radio and i have an aux adapter to go in. I have put it in the cd changer plug as directed but i dont know what to do next. My uncle said that he has to double click the cd button to change to the cd changer option in his golf, which when he does it comes up with no cd changer, but mine doesnt come up with anything, just normal CD. I have read i might need this activated? If so how do i go around this ? Any other tips would be much appreciated :) Tia

  12. So here's my polo again up here with another problem :( Okay been a few days since it's happened so far we've cleaned out the carbs and fuel lines seem to be okay (getting a new fuel filter soon) but when I drive it it just seem to choke with no power at all like its stalling out At idle it's fine runs fine but when you Rev up it builds up but if you keep your foot down it dies out making you take your foot off to stop it from stalling So it sounds like lack of fuel but I'm not to sure as this is my first car I've gone in depth with such as the engine change So if anyone of you polo guys can help it would mean a lot Thanks

Black 6n2 Polo First Car! Updated!

After reading many posts on this for inspiration and help i thought i might as well try a post and see how it goes, this is my first build project so bear with me. I got my 1.4 6n2 polo back in September last year but due to only being 16 it sat around for a while until i could drive. Started this on Uk polos but didnt get much response so heres hoping this is a little better After passing my test in December i decided it was time to start saving up for things for the car. First on all i bought some new speakers for the car and a kenwood stereo. At the end of February i decided to look into getting some leather seats for the car and hopefully get some at a good price. After weeks of checking ebay a set came up not to far from mine and at a good price. So a trip through to Dunfermline it was. Mk3 Golf mulberry leathers: Due to the weather being terrible they sat in my room for a few weeks until i finally got a decent day to fit them. During that time i managed to end up with new speaker covers and some tins of spray paint. I decided the interior was in need of change. Before: During: Think i must have sprayed it the most awkward way possible. 2 tins of upholstery spray, 5 tins of black spray and 2 tins of purple spray later: I ran out of upholstery spray before i could do the carpet and floor mats :( But was happy with the outcome and as of yet the paint hasn't flaked of chiped so fingers crossed. After much thought i decided to go for the stanced banded steelies option, so i saved up and bought some Mk2 golf 14" steels and due to only working 2 days a week the budget for coilovers doesnt stretch very far (just now). £200 infact so JOM blueline coilovers it was. And yesterday the postman arrived with many a parcel. After a couple of months of saving to get the wheels banded they finally arrived, however i was to rushed to put them on that i just stuck my existing tyres on and at first they didnt seem to bad. Banded Steel wheels 8j front and back on 185/55/14 tyres The car stayed like this for a while then i got fed up of cycling my bmx 30 minutes to the skate park so i managed to get a set of roof bars on ebay for an okay price. Oh and a Gti splitter that was in pretty poor condition. Let me know what you guys think so far More updates up shortly

    My Polo 9N

Here's my 9N when i picked her up last week
  15. Hey guys! Hopefully getting a Polo very soon and was wanting a 6r, 1.2 or 1.4 or if money allows, 1.6 S/SE/SEL (don't really mind just love Polos) Was just wondering what the main, most common problems are? Looking at examples of around £7k mark with around 20-25k miles. Doubt I will get a lower-mileage 1.6 for that price, however! Thanks

    Washing your car.

Bit of a random one but I would like to get the best I can out as I'm a bit of a clean freak, so I wanted to know what do you use as in wash/wax/shine and so on when prepping for a show for instance and how you do it.. As obviously people have various ways they'd do it. Would like to know products that you'd recommend also and/or best company's to buy such products from.
