Hello all, thanks for being here. We have a MkII 1litre Polo breadvan that has worked fine until this problem: It starts fine, idles fine cold and warm but when you put your foot down on the accelerator the engine has a real issue in increasing the revs as demanded. It can drive, if you sort of put your foot down a bit, then relax and do it again you can get the revs up - and when you're driving at a constant speed, it's all fine - it's just when you demand a load that things go awry. It's like double-de-clutching really. We had a mechanic working on this - he changed the plugs
