I've done an engine swap in my MK2 bready, the engine "works" but I can't seem to run without the choke on (or slight acceleration). I'm running with a piersburg solex pic 7 carb on a new rubber flange with no air leaks. Without choke it will try to run then cough and die even when the engine is warm. Any ideas on how to get this to idle smoothly.
Hi polo people. Hope you're all very well indeed. Have a 1983, 1043cc breadvan, stock, new to me, i'm having trouble getting her running right. Stock solex carb, won't run without the choke. At all. Even when warmed up. Can push the choke in when driving at speed but when i come to stop, i have to pull the choke out every time. I have a little xp with a weber carb but from what i've read, the solex is a bit more tempermental. Can anyone recommend anyone around Taunton or Somerset that can tune one of these bad boys? Thanks for stopping by and any guidance you can give.
