So i bought this car, saw it once on ebay. Rolled it backwards and forwards (in gear) said yep ill take it XD Drove it home, parked it up and waited for all the documents to catch me up. later took it for a bath and started to dig around and find out what was what. someone had taken the areal out of the wing, but not plugged the hole causing water to get in and rust the bottom of the wing, this started to spread into the passanger door but wasnt too bad and farily easiy to rub back and get rid off during paint prep. the exhuast fell off, the breaks were rusty and the car was all round rattley and banged up. MOT wasnt too bad tho, bearing and a handbreak to sort so nothing crazy. gave her a quick service, oil breaks etc and just started to have fun.

I've got a set of wheelarches and sideskirts for my 2f coupe. The arches are in good condition. But the side skirts have one crack in each of them. Would it be worth trying to plastic weld the crack back together? Has anyone done this? (The skirts are now only available from heritage for one side £70 😞 ) Cheers

Pick this absolute weapon up just recently for a price I couldn't say no to.. the plan was to give it a quick flip. But I now want it for myself and its a little worse for wear so profit ain't gonna happen and its a crime to part such a great wee car. So....say hello to my next project! Need to sort the whole front end out. Slam panel, both front cross members and a new grill needed. Nice matching interior would be great too. So, if you're in northern ireland and have a decent interior, let me now please. Oh, and it's just a 55bhp I think with 103k miles and a fancy little K&N bolt on air filter. John.

The time is coming where I'm going to have my car stripped down and resprayed. It'll need new sills and some repair work on the rear arches. I think you can use breadvan sills and they are available. Is it possible to get repair panels for the rear arches? I've seen breadvan ones, but they are the wrong shape.

Help wanted. Refitting rear arch trim 2f coupe
schneil posted a topic in Bodywork, Interior and Trim
I need guidance on refitting the rear arch trim on a 2f coupe. The one that sits beind the bumper. Recenly the polo needed welding to it's rear arch for it's MOT. The mechanic left it in primer and I completed with spay cans. When I refitted the trim, it was a tight fit and I managed to scratch the paint off down to metal. So I had to repaint. I've given it a week for the paint to fully cure before I attempt again. So I don't take off the paint again, does anyone have any tips for refitting? -
