  1. Hi, I’m a long time member and first time poster, as the last Polo we had was pretty reliable. My wife recently ‘upgraded’ to a Polo 1.4 SE 2006 9N3. It’s a 5 door auto with electric windows in the front and these do not work. The guy we purchased it from said it’s probably a fuse, but tbh we were a bit too trusting and found other issues with the car which were concealed… Guess I’ll clock that up to experience. I’ve done the following to try and diagnose the issue:- · Listen for motor clicking or any signs of life (none found) · Test the o/s switch (worked in a colleagues ca
  2. Hi all, I've got a Polo 6N2 3dr which looks like the driver side door has been replaced, unfortunately with a manual window door. I'm guessing I'll need a new door & door card if I want to replace it and get my electric windows back. Passenger side currently has electric windows. How big of a job am I looking at in terms of price if I was to take it somewhere? Cheers
  3. I have a 2008 1.2 polo match, 3 door with a passenger window which will not operate from the drivers switch or the passenger door switch . I checked the wiring in the rubber door gaiter on the drivers door side and found that water had got into the connector blocks which plug in to the body side junction box causing serious corrosion. I cleaned the door side connectors but found a pin to be broken inside the connector mounted in the car body between the hinges. This may be the cause of the failed window. please could you tell me the name or part number for the half of this connection wh
  4. Hello again! So during storm dennis my polo let some water in. Specifically into the drivers door (i pulled a dry doorcard off and it was wet behind the speaker). My electrical problems: My central locking only locks when i dont have the key in, but once i have ignition first click turned, both the lock and unlock buttons unlock the doors, and you cannot even force them down by hand. 2nd, the window is dead. Even holding the key in the lock only moves passenger window. I assume the motor is dead or wiring fried. Now ive just spent near a grand
  5. Firstly, my apologies as this problem is posted on another forum, however I am desperate to fix the issue. My son has recently purchased his first car, a 2007 MY 1.4 Polo 5 door with low miles and full history. It’s a really nice vehicle, and drives extremely well, so much so that it belies its age. Just one small mark to the rear N/S quarter panel for me to sort. Anyway, he decided that he 'needed' to have a replacement radio to allow for Apple Car Play, so purchased a head unit and that was added to my list of jobs! Having left the car with me for completion of the work, he
  6. Hi, I'm looking to convert my manual window 6n2 to electric windows. I have the switches, motors/regulators and door looms from both sides of another vehicle. As my car did not come with central locking, I have fitted electric central locking actuators instead. I'm looking to figure out what wires i need to run to make the electric windows work on both sides as they should, and hopefully to remove some wires related to the vacuum operated central locking and replace them with my own 2 wires for the electric central locking. If someone has a diagram of some sort I would
  7. Hi there I have a 13 year old 2005 VW Polo MK4 1.4 diesel 3 door. Just recently both front electric windows have stopped working intermittently. There is no clicking sound from either of the motors so that means there is no power being supplied to them and the windows are definitely not stuck because when they work they move with ease. There are no other electrical issues with the car, both electric mirrors work ant the central locking buttons on the driver door work with no problem and there are no issues with the wipers, dash lights, indicators, screen-wash pump. At first I thought it might
