  1. So basically my sunroof is not working, I replaced motor, switch and did a check on wiring to see if current was going thru, the only wire that it didn’t have power to was the red one. now Also my passenger window don’t work , I read online someone saying they are linked that if the passenger side window don’t work the sunroof won’t too... I’ve stripped the dashboard and followed the wire down to the clips at the bottom, I also checked the wire for the look (the red one) and that isn’t showing power, (not sure if it is supposed to) I am so damn confused and need serous help.
  2. Hi all I have a 2008 VW Polo 9n3 1.2 5Dr which has only electric windows in the front. A few weeks ago they started to play up only working intermittently now to cease to working at all via any of the windows switches in both the passenger door and driver’s door. Both windows still go up and down by holding the key in either the passenger/driver's door's (lazy locking/unlocking). What I have tried so far 1. Checked all possible fuses 2. Checked the grounds at the window motors/switches 3. Checked the wires running from the a pillar to drivers door for breaks 4. Check electrical connectors in a pillar and door for dampness none found 5. Run full VCDS diagnostics scan no faults found 6. Took a look in measuring blocks and found that window Regulator (drivers Door) is not installed 7. Tried to recode the central convince control module from code (00019) tried the following codes 00064,00016,000259,00067 and from some of the code’s i got in measuring blocks CTRL Module Does not Respond Hope this all makes sense and any help would be appreciated. I have attach a log and some screen shots of VCDS. 3. Hi, I’m hoping someone can help me with a problem I’m having on my 2009 Polo Match 60. The car intermittently will not start. Sometimes it is fine but other times all of the dashboard lights come on after you turn the ignition, you can hear a click but the engine does not crank. Eventually, it you try the ignition a number of times it will start and be fine. The battery voltage seemed low and the battery was pretty old so I’ve had that replaced. After this it was fine for a couple of days but today the same thing happened. I’ve also hooked up a multimeter and couldn’t see any current draw. The car also has an electric window fault that seems to be related - the passenger window will not wind down using the driver’s controller but usually works with the passenger controller. The driver’s controller worked immediately after the battery change but has now stopped working again. Any advice gratefully received....
  4. Hi there, after spending numerous hours in the freezing cold with a multimeter I can say that there isn't a wiring issues on the drivers door of my 2005 VW polo, this part (see image) is attached to the window motor on the drivers side door. Im assuming it's responsible for the 'one touch' feature with the windows as they are able to open and close without you having to hold the switch. However through some testing I have figured that this might be why both windows are working intermittently. I came to this conclusion when I turned the ignition switch on and pressed the window switch down on both sides of the car and got nothing. I then proceeded to remove the larger plug from the top of this part and place it back in and then to my surprise the windows worked, and then they stopped, the issue I'm having is that the windows didn't stop working after I turned the ignition off and then back on again, it was almost as if it were timed. There is no corrosion on any of the contacts and non of the pins/clamps are bent out of place. is it worth spending £35 to replace this part in hopes it fixes the issue or have I wondered from the beaten track. please advise thanks very much.
  5. Hi there I have a 13 year old 2005 VW Polo MK4 1.4 diesel 3 door. Just recently both front electric windows have stopped working intermittently. There is no clicking sound from either of the motors so that means there is no power being supplied to them and the windows are definitely not stuck because when they work they move with ease. There are no other electrical issues with the car, both electric mirrors work ant the central locking buttons on the driver door work with no problem and there are no issues with the wipers, dash lights, indicators, screen-wash pump. At first I thought it might be the 25 amp fuse but there is nothing wrong with it and just to prove it wasn't the fuse I replaced it and still nothing. One thing I can't wrap my head around is that both the window switches on the drivers door or the passenger door don't work yet the switches still light up when you turn the lights on which means the switches do have power to them. After seeing that the lights on the switches were working I tried the windows and still nothing. Would really appreciate it if someone knew more about this than I. Thanks for the help -Tom
