For sale I have my 1998 1.6 (100 bhp) mk4 polo estate. MOT until November 2020, 69,000 miles on the clock, It has recently had a full oil change service with new plugs and leads, new front brake pads and discs, new front brake lines. Interior is clean and tidy apart from a slight split in the dash trim around an air vent, front electric windows work, all other electrics work fine, new front anti rollbar drop links. No major rust issues, currently have the roof and bonnet painted as it had lacquer peeling off when I bought it. All completely original, no modifications, still has the pull out cover for the boot interior. Any questions just ask, am open to offers.

She's back on the road! And i did it all myself! After buying her last year March, I only got to drive her for a couple of months, then she didn't respond to the gas pedal any more, I was told to scrap her as it would be too costly to repair, I was gutted as there's only a handful of this model left, I didn't want to sell or even scrap her so she was left on my drive for a year, then I had a hunch and managed to fix her, it cost me a whole £25!!! I since have done lots to her and she passed Mot last week with flying colours! Im so very proud of myself, and so very happy she's back on the road
So I was talking with a friend about what I fancy for my next car..... I have an Itch to scratch with a 1600 mk2 squareback which I'll get round to.... But the idea that was set down in my brain is finding a damaged Fabia VRS estate with the 1.4 dsg 180bhp engine in it & graft the front end from a Polo 6r onto it. To give me basically a Polo GTi estate.....!! am I bonkers or would that look cool!!??
Hi guys looking for some information about what it takes to take the vr6 engine out a mk3 golf and drop it into the 6n estate, not much coming up on the web besides a really old thread on here just showing it finished. i know the two cars run the same chassis so subframe wise it should bolt in, but i cannot think of any serious problems with swapping the engines. so can some one correct me or should it be straight front as swap the ecu and loom then swap and bolt all the engine bits across including driveshafts, only think i think may be an issue is the drive shaft spline on a vr6 would be different to the polo. if any one can shed some light onto this as im looking into buying a clean estate.
I currently have a petrol polo estate. It would look as if it is leaking fuel. I want to replace the fuel lines but I cannot find anywhere that sells a new kit anymore. This means I will need generic tube. GSF and Euros sell this but I have no idea which diameter I need. does anyone know what tube I would need to replace my feed and take fuel tube. Added a couple pics. Thank you in advance!
