Hi All, My first topic post on the forum - hope you’re all good! I’m about to buy myself a Pioneer SPH-230dab to replace the glamorous RCD200 currently installed. To hook it up properly, I was going to splash out a fine pair of radio removal keys and this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01N7W5TEE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_SORTDbE0ZT2CH My understanding is that this replaces the need to mess around with any sort of converters / piggy backing off of any fuses when it comes to getting it wired. Does that sound about right? Next related question, I found this: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/252942255750 This seems to think it’ll convert my current FM aerial into a DAB aerial - does that sound legit? Does anyone have any experience with one? I’m a complete novice with all this stuff. Any wisdom about installing (I won’t need a fascia place, right?!) is gratefully received! Cheers, Paul
So we have 2 cars in the family and my tiny run around(Mitsubishi Colt) will see very little rear seat action so have to opportunity to put an amp/sub whatever in the car at some point in the future. I was just hoping for a little discussion about what the best setup might be? After a decent sound, not record breaking quality, bass or volume. I am guessing components in the front? Somewhere around 5" probably just go with whatever standard is for ease. Is it worth getting an amp, I have heard a bit about how an amp can greatly improve quality from some decent speakers? Sub, I could happily build something into the rear foot well on one side. Or have seen 'compact' under seat subs in the past, though don't imagine they are great. Anything else I should consider? 6x9s? I see them as a bit 'jack of all trades' though One of the first bits I'd invest in is a head unit, does it matter which if it's got the features I want? Thanks in advance
Hi might have already been asked but can find it, wanting to swap clocks in my mk2F polo coupe, I currently have the big analogue clock in place of the rev gauge and was wanting to swap this for GT like clocks with rev guage and digital clock, needing to know if there are wiring in place and it's just a plug in or if additional wiring will have to be done. Any help will be appreciated Thanks
