Hi, My Mk2 2G is leaking coolant out of its inlet manifold. There's a coolant channel through the inlet, right? It looks like there's a plug on the driver's side of the inlet, recessed in, like a metal freeze plug you'd see on an engine. That's where the leak is coming from. Can I somehow replace this part of the manifold? Or do I really need a whole new one?
Hey, I'm trying to work out what's going on with my car's inlet heater. I think the relay is missing. Is it the socket by the fuse box (passenger side)? If so, what's the part no/other identifying thingy for the relay, so I can get a new one? I tried getting one off of Heritage but it is the wrong pin out.
Hello polo people, today I took my inlet and spi throttle body off for a clean as my car is dropping revs like it's about to stall and then the revs come back up. Anyway when taking my inlet manifold off I noticed cylinder 1 is dirty as f*ck but the rest seem clean and as they should, any help would help out alot as I have no idea what could cause this. It's a 1.3 AAV spi engine.
I've just been loking around at available inlet manifolds, in an ideal world i'd obviously want one of the GK ones but my chances of finding one are probably pretty slim. So I stumbled across one which looks pretty derestricted compared to the standard (ie decent sized ports that closer match the 1.3l head) listed as mk3 1.4 abd manifold, however I can't remember what the top of my current manifold looks like or whether my weber 28/32 dmtr would sit on it as it's presumably meant to be paired with an injection system not a carb. The pics are just to compare carb mounting styles, the bottom pic is the one that's for sale that I wish to know if my carb would fit on. So do I specifically need this type of carb mounting on top Or would this sort of top mounting work? I think I already know the answer but wanted to put it to the experts and confirm what I think I already know. Cheers.
