Hi guys, I own a 6n2 1.0 Polo and I think I have a potentially expensive problem. Since the last few weeks, Ive noticed everytime I press the clutch in and out, I hear a faint *clunk* (always happen when releasing the pedal), regardless of where the gear stick is. Now its stopped with another problem. Everytime I drive, my car always jerks regardless of whether I have my foot in the gas. It turns out, my car always jerks at low rpm and stops jerking when I drive with the revs over 2000 rpm. When Im stationary, it doesnt jerk and the engine idles fine. When I recorded my engine revving upto redline, the engine remained tamed in its engine mounts (didnt move lol). When I drive inbetween the jerking range, and I press the clutch and coast. The jerking stops. I was also told that my cv boot or joint or gaitor or whatever the black rubber thing that my axles are connected to is called, its ripped on both sides with small leaks. So whats the potential cause of this? Please dont say its the clutch. Please say its just low transmission fluid.
Hey, I just bought a W reg 1.4 Polo extremely low mileage. Has a few issues, one being a wobbly wing mirror. It is loose from the pivot that you can fold the mirror in on. Is this a case of taking out the glass and there being something to tighten from inside of the casing? The electric windows are not functioning, I located the fuse box which is under the dashboard on the drivers side. Does anyone know which fuse it will be. There is a diagram, but being female, it means nothing to me. (sorry not sorry) It supposedly had new discs, has been sat a while, there was a binding noise which has gone, while driving it yesterday, on braking the pedal moves up and down. What would cause this? Many thanks I am a newbie here so be kind. Any help would be gratefully received.
Hi, i have lowered my VW Polo 6n and seem to be getting positive camber in the front only on one side though... so basically instead of the wheel sitting out it’s pointing inwards! Very strange I think the previous owner has used washers on the rear... does anyone have a clue how I can resolve this? I don’t mind using washers if I have to! Just want to stop it driving odd and feel like I’m driving on my outer sidewall! Any helo would be grand!
