Hi there, after spending numerous hours in the freezing cold with a multimeter I can say that there isn't a wiring issues on the drivers door of my 2005 VW polo, this part (see image) is attached to the window motor on the drivers side door. Im assuming it's responsible for the 'one touch' feature with the windows as they are able to open and close without you having to hold the switch. However through some testing I have figured that this might be why both windows are working intermittently. I came to this conclusion when I turned the ignition switch on and pressed the window switch down on both sides of the car and got nothing. I then proceeded to remove the larger plug from the top of this part and place it back in and then to my surprise the windows worked, and then they stopped, the issue I'm having is that the windows didn't stop working after I turned the ignition off and then back on again, it was almost as if it were timed. There is no corrosion on any of the contacts and non of the pins/clamps are bent out of place. is it worth spending £35 to replace this part in hopes it fixes the issue or have I wondered from the beaten track. please advise thanks very much.
Hi! So I installed a new gearbox and now the car is not starting. Starter is just turning the motor over but it is not igniting I guess? After I try to start the car oil level light comes on in the dashboard although I checked and oil level is normal. Any ideas why it is not starting? OP has now Fixed the problem
Hi guys, I am from TUNISIA, I bought a 2001 6N2 1.4MPI it has 65hp witch is not even close enough power. sadly in TUNISIA we don't have much to choose in the used market 1.0MPI (Tunisian specs: no air bags no abs...nothing maybe AC) so I can only engine swap it.... then again there are no 1.416V breaking to buy from so I turned my head to the only available 1.416V VW relative the MK4 GOLF. So my question is do the 1.416V unit +transmission from the GOLF MK4 drop in straight (with ECU and wiring loom) if so do the GOLF's engine mounts suffice if not what exactly should I consider
Hello all, I've recently fitted a brand new starter motor and a brand new battery, The car won't start and the only way it will run is if i push it off, I had some earthing issues with smoking etc, sorted them, now all the starter motor does is just click. Thats it, won't turn over at all. Unusure. Anyone got any ideas what i can do, its really frustrating!!
