Hey Guys, I have a problem with my first car, the 6N2 polo. I replaced my stock stereo with a cheap aftermarket one as I needed bluetooth and my fm transmitter went bust. All i got as an extra is an adaptor (iso to din). Since installing the stereo, everytime I switch off the ignition It loses memory. I tried to swap the two chunky ports (brown and black) but I couldnt because of it just doesn't fit. What can I do to stop the memory loss? Should I take off the fuse (red) attached to it?
Hi all, I've got a problem with my bog standard tdi, usually when I turn the engine off with the headlights on, the beams get less powerful, however this seems to now be the output with the engine running, and if I turn the engine off there is nothing but the sidelights on, has anyone had this before? It used to be great on dipped beam, but now it's like following 2 midgets with candles. Mot due in march and it will definitely fail on low output. I changed the clutch recently and wonder if I've knocked a wire loose and it's completely dropped off now. Thanks Mike
A little while ago my drivers door window motor was having trouble bringing the glass back up and sounded as if the cable was frayed. I taped the button up until I got a new motor. When I went to fit the new motor, it wouldnt work and there doesnt appear to be any power getting through. I swapped the switches over to see if it was the switch, but no, it works fine on the other window. From what I can see, one fuse does both, so must be Ok. Any ideas ? It had power before. The two wires to the motor are red and black. Are they both + , one for each direction and the earth is through the bolts to the door ?
