Hi, trying to fit a new radio into my polo and ran into an issue with sockets, none of the plugs fit and I’ve looked everywhere and can’t seem to find an adaptor for it. I’ve linked a photo of the socket on the radio I’m trying to install (6C0919603, factory Volkswagen radio not aftermarket) and the old radio : https://imgur.com/gallery/xVGbxQK can I actually get some sort of adaptor for this or is it a case of rewiring everything? Thanks

HI, Ive been looking at my radio and i desperately want something touch screen so I dont have to faff about with my phone and a phone holder. but ive noticed that it looks almost impossible to change the 6N1 from single DIN to Double DIN as above the radio are the blowers and below is the fan control, there is a sort of cubby hole that isnt used for anything below that aswell, im assuming its for cars with air con, mine is just the 1.0 . So im just wondering has anyone out there converted the single DIN to a Double DIN sand what are the steps needed thanks

Hi I own a 2016 1.4tdi Polo 6r which due to the lockdown has a flat battery. I think the battery is coming to the end of its life and needs replacing soon. Can I fit a new battery myself or is it a VW job ? I've heard that doing it myself can cause major problems with the various electrical components including the CD player and radio. Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks in anticipation Chris

Hey Guys, I have a problem with my first car, the 6N2 polo. I replaced my stock stereo with a cheap aftermarket one as I needed bluetooth and my fm transmitter went bust. All i got as an extra is an adaptor (iso to din). Since installing the stereo, everytime I switch off the ignition It loses memory. I tried to swap the two chunky ports (brown and black) but I couldnt because of it just doesn't fit. What can I do to stop the memory loss? Should I take off the fuse (red) attached to it?

First off I’m new to all this so forgive me for any mistakes I make! Ive got a 1988 coupe s and I love the look and functionality of the original radio. Only problem is the sound quality is terrible. I’ve upgraded the two rear deck speakers to Rockford punch which has made a small difference. Front middle speaker has no wiring too it so I’m not going to use it. I’m set on keeping the original radio as it just looks right. Someone mentioned putting a modern radio in the glove box so it’s hidden but I’m not a fan of this idea as it means the original radi

So the other day after laughing at the lemon of a polo i own. The radio lost power. Totally at random. After checking radio fuses. And getting the multimeter out i noticed switched live was dead. I see alot of people with this problem. My problem was the 5a mini blade fuse. Location F16 ignition switch "s" contact. Just replaced and will update if it blows again. But i thought this might help someone. If anyone has the same/similer problem please comment. Theirs not enough info on 6n2 radio faults !!! Peace
