Leicestershire & Warwickshire VW Owners Club have just confirmed that we have a club stand at this years show at Stanford Hall in Leicestershire on Sunday 5th May 2019. http://www.stanfordhallvw.com/ A pretty laid back and relaxed feeling show, there's always lots to look round and plenty of impressive VW metal from throughout the ages on display (late 40's/early 50's up to present day) The stand is only ten spaces and I will post your pass out to you the week before, so please only put your name down if you can 100% attend! OK guys and girls, we have ten spaces again for all types at bodelwyddan castle. This year is only a 1 day event due to council cutbacks and the like, however you can bring your pooches for once. it's set to be a big show this year and more clubs have confirmed to show so let's not disappoint and bring your polos down, no matter the condition. The meeting point for myself heading down from the north is lymm services as it's a nice central location. if you're interested in joining us then pop your name down. the show date is the 20th of may. Entry is £10, and under 16s go free. Gates open at 9am so an early start of 8am at lymm please guys. More details about the show: The All Types VW Show, is held in the beautiful grounds of Bodelwyddan Castle in North Wales. Enjoy a great day with us at the castle where you can relax and take in the views amongst some amazing show vehicles. You will be able to enjoy the following attractions:- A Large arena full of Classic, Modified and Custom VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda and Porsche show vehicles. Over 70 Trade Stands, selling everything you need for your motor including new and used parts, accessories, audio and cleaning products etc. Special Vehicle Displays Large ‘cars for sale’ area Over 40 club stands from around the country Autojumble corner Children’s fair rides and Adventure Playground Variety of food and drink stalls Full toilet facilities Professional security and medical team On-site Free Parking Please note :- The All Types VW Show is now a Single Day Event with no camping available on-site. This decision has been made due to family commitments and changes at the Castle. This change allows us to increase the size of the Show Arena, change the show layout and offer more space for Show Vehicles, Club Stands, Special Display Vehicles and other attractions. As has become a staple of the Polo Social, we will be holding a Show & Shine competition on the Sunday of the Polo Social We've kept the trophies from last year so lots up for grabs. To enter the Show and Shine see myself (look out for the beard) or one of the members of staff floating around (normally by the Marquee) and we will get you signed up. Entry is £5 but all of this money will go to charity. So even if you are not bothered about a trophy please still enter your car as the money does go to a really good cause which currently be Macmillan Cancer Support/Cancer Research UK. The Show and Shine is self-judged so the most deserving cars are decided by the people who enter (and no you can't vote for your own car! ) We also have a People’s Choice award which allows anyone attending the show to cast their vote. To get these slips also see one of the staff. Please note that entry to the show and shine will ONLY be open until 11.30am and slips must be returned to SNS control by 1pm, this is so we can collate the results in time to do trophies at around 2/2.15pm. Also please don't move your car over to the show field until you've signed up, paid and received your voting form, thank you The whole weekend is a chilled out and relaxed one and this includes the Show and Shine. The whole point is to have a bit of fun and see some nice Polo's!

Im going to this, they are a popular host for bike shows and music events and have a good reputation locally. Never been before myself but for £2 entry can't really go wrong! Anyone coming?

Hey everyone, I was thinking we should take Club Polo to Silverstone for their classic weekend next summer (it's a Fri, Sat, Sun) and have a display. It would be fab to see some Polos there! :) If you haven't been before, there's all day racing for the weekend, access (nearly) all areas in the pits, music concert each night & lots to do. Just returned from dubshed in Belfast this weekend .Seeing as it was my first real show to go to it really opened my eyes to the level of detail people put into their cars .The things that caught my eye most were the custom interiors and engine bays. I'm not that mechanically savy so the engine bay would be something id leave to do very last .Right now I'm dead set on getting the seats,door cards and headliner reupolstered .Hoping someone could clue me in on how much you'd be talking price wise .Also if anyone knows anywhere that does a quality job at this kind of thing in Ireland (preferably the Northwest/North) Polo 6n2 Gti Hope someone can help! Albeit a little late, details for this years Show and Shine are as follows To enter, come along to the Show & Shine control which will be stationed by me (Club Polo gazebo strategically placed on the field ), pay £5 (which this year will be going to charity) and collect an entry form from myself, then park up in the designated area PLEASE DO NOT PARK YOUR CAR IN THE SHOW AND SHINE AREA UNTIL YOU'VE REGISTERED WITH MYSELF Entries can be made from 9am up until 12pm, with judging running until 2pm, the competition is self judged by entrants with prizes for the top 3 cars. Please note you can not vote for your own car! :) Along with the Top 3 Polo's in S&S, the People's Choice award makes a welcome return People's Choice; voting slips for it will be available from myself on Sunday. Basically, its a chance for people attending the show to bestow an award to car which they think is most deserving of it. Please note that you can only vote for cars in the Show and Shine Competition!
