    Mk2f sunroof problem

Hi everyone, got a sunroof problem where it will not close fully. It winds open and closed without any difficulty or stiffness in the winder, but one corner does not "pop-up" and seal properly - the other does though. It is a factory fitted sunroof that slides back under the roof skin. I have tried - Removing the wind deflector - no difference. Swapping over the small metal strip on each side that is angled-up (if you have one you'll know which part I mean) - again, no difference. If I push up from inside it will go where it needs to be but keeps dropping down. Any ideas? Nice and dry for now but need it sorting before the rain comes next.
  3. I thought I’d post this here as I find this while digging around for information on how to sort my leaky sunroof... Done a bit of digging and found a company called Bristol Sunroofs do a seal for a “Britax Sunhatch” which I’m pretty sure is what mine is. Might be of some use to anyone with the same sunroof. It’s listed at £35 plus post! Presume you’d have to get in contact with them, I may do that if it is in fact what mine is and the cheaper options of cleaning it out etc are no good! www.bristolsunroofs.co.uk/sunroofspares.php It seems a few people are having similar issues over this last winter so I thought this was worth sharing!

    Sunroof drain rusty

I'm concerned about the rust on my sunroof drains iv been meaning to sort it out but everything seems to be braking mechanically at the moment, wondering if anyone has had the same problem and some advice on how to clean it up and seal it, it's not gone through after tapping it with a screw driver so I'm guessing it just surface rust. The black stuff around it is kurust to stop it from getting worse.
  5. The last couple of days with the bad weather I've opened the car up in the morning to find puddles of water collected in both footwells of my 9n3 gti, I've been told maybe it's down to drainage channels in my sunroof. Was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem? Cheers guys Linked a photo https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ihx7pbx4ssi69dv/AADf9xXml1U8gEIvUsyUj3Gua?dl=0

    polo 6n sunroof

Hello I have a polo 6n, I put the car's sunroof Electric polo 6n1 this match properly, But I do not know what wires to connect for this to work. Thank you.
  7. So as the title states I was wondering if anyone have any tips of maintenance to the fabric folding roof. I know you can grease the guides and such, but I want to know if you can condition the fabric to keep it in top shape. The one I have at the moment has lots of cracks in it and it almost looks like it has shrink in size, but I have found a roof that is in top shape from a totaled Polo at my workplace, so if I replace it I want to keep it in the same good shape.
  8. I've got the chance to get hold of a polo 6N2 sunroof Comes with headlining and wiring.. Any one tried or know if it's possible to fit it in To the 6N? Thanks ronnn.

    Leaking! 6n2!

Basically i have a leak in my sunroof, and being the start of hurricane season i want to fix it! it's the driverside drain from the sunroof, it's disconnected and i need to know any advice on fixing it? ie; Do you need to pull the roof lining down and is it glued/do i need to re-glue it/ do i just yank it down or is there a technique? It's the 1.4 16v 6n2 model with a standard sunroof, not the open air. Cheers, Dale.
