I was cleaning up the throttle body ahead of the MOT and noticed that the stop screw for the throttle cable pull (pictured) never actually comes in contact with the plate that meets it. I assume its there to act as an adjustment for where the throttle would stop - wouldn't this count as an idle throttle adjustment? The engine rattles along at 800rpm at idle so I assume nothing is out of the ordinary here, but what is it actually supposed to be for?
Hi guys, recently bought an 2004 1.4 petrol polo for my mrs. Everything was running great when bought it, had a quick scan of codes and seen it had an error P0402, only an EGR fault. Yesterday I took the throttle body off and gave it a good clean and reattached it, now I am having some major issues with the car. 1. Fault P0170 2. Fault P0106 The EPC light and engine management light is lit. I have orded a new throttle body just incase I kill it when cleaning, any other suggestions I can try.
