      The Polo Social is a chilled out club event and we really want to keep it that way. Kelham Hall ALLOW us to host this event at their location but part of this is we abide by some rule. So please take some time to read these.   Rules:   - No burnouts or drifting : once you are parked up in the field you are expected to leave your car there unless you are going offsite to the shops or have a genuine reason to need to move it. And I want to be totally clear. NO Handbrake turns, wheel spinning or reving of engines anywhere on site.
        - No loud noise between 11pm and 8am. Think of the people camping next you. Yes they are in tents but this does nothing to stop the noise of music, screaming/shouting/swearing.   - No drink driving. Again, sounds stupid but some people seem to think that because you are in a field that it's OK to drive about after ten beers. Kelham Hall is still subject to the laws of the UK and the police will get involved. We have seen people (who were nothing to do with Club Polo) get arrested and carted off in a police van for this in past years.   - Dogs are welcome on site. Owners must clean up after their pets.   - Bins are provided on-site and you will be given a bin bag by Club Polo staff on entry. Please use these and keep the site as tidy as possible. If you require more bin bags then please ask any Club Polo staff member (until we run out!).   - BBQs are allowed on site but please ensure they are raised off the grass. Make sure any BBQs are fully extinguished after use by pouring water on them. Ensure BBQs are not lit right next to tents - tents are very flammable!   - Open fires are not allowed!   If you see anyone else doing anything you think they shouldn't be doing then please don't hesitate to contact any Club Polo staff. We need your help to make the event run smoothly and to ensure everyone has a good time. Please police your friends if you think the are acting out of order tell them!

      The venue has a fully licensed bar, under no circumstances are you permitted to drink your own alcohol inside the venue, outside not a problem

      CAUTION  If you are using the postcode NG23 5QX and approaching from top of the picture, the SatNav will try to make you turn LEFT 150m after you  pass the FOX pub ignore this and carry on for another 250m for the correct entrance to the venue.

      The Polo Social, What is it?
      The Polo Social is a social event held on 30th JUNE to 02nd JULY 2017 that is put on by Club Polo which is open to all VW Polo owners from any Club. So if you are part of a local club bring everyone down and grab a spot in the field.

      What to Expect?
      A relaxed event where you can catch up with other members, see their cars and meet new people from the club. Expect a big club meet which lasts the weekend with some beers and BBQs!

      Whats going on?
      Details are yet to be finalised but plans are for the club BBQ on the Saturday night, Show and Shine on the Sunday. We are looking to have some things going Saturday day

      Where is it?
      The event is held at Kelham Hall & Country Park, Kelham NG23 5QX
      This is the first year we've held it here, after Billing Aquadrome ( where we've held it for the last 12+ years) cancelled all future car events,  its an excellent venue which really suits the clubs event. There is food/drink available on site and a pub within wobbling distance.

      What do you need?
      If you are camping then you need the general camping gear of tent, sleeping bag, etc. If you want to clean your car up for the show and shine on the Sunday there is a cold water supply so bring your bucket and cleaning gear. Also bring some money.

      How much does it cost and how to book?
       A pitch is for a tent for up to 6 people, if you have extra cars we may charge you extra.       Ok everyone, We have had to change the venue, as the grounds at MFN informed me that one of their staff had booked another event for the same weekend, prior to me arranging our event with them, but the guy had forgotten to put it in their diary, so we got binned in favour of this other event. However, they did offer to re-arrange our weekend at another date later in the year, but as we had already released the dates we didn't want to change, as we knew some of you had already booked time off work, made long distance travel plans etc. So we were faced with trying to find another venue who could accept us at quite short notice.
       
      We found Kelham Hall http://kelham-hall.com/ after many phone calls and a visit to the venue by @jonPDpolo & @Yeti we have come to a deal that was suitable to us and them.
      We are booked in to use the "20 Acre Event field" as shown in the map below

       
      As far as booking the weekend, that hasn't changed you can only book via our shop , the only difference is the price, unfortunately this is slightly more than before at £20/night for a tent with up to 6 people.
      We have a discounted rate for those who are paid up members and book for both nights, this will be applied via the booking in the shop.

      We're currently looking for a new location to hold our yearly 'Polo Show' - The Polo Social.
       
      After speaking to billing today they've decided not to host ANY car shows, Their excuse "Developing the site for more residential caravans" and a letter is going to be sent to all the car clubs explaining this. So, have you been to a car show recently or in the past which you think would be a good location to host our show. Ideally we're looking for camping site/rally field with facilities (washing/toilets/showers) with electrical hook ups.
