i have just got my 1989 polo saloon back on the road. it sits rather high on the suspension which makes it look a bit 'old manish'. ive seen pics of these cars with lowered suspension which makes them look far more attractive but i have no idea what is involved in lowering it and how much it might cost. anybody any ideas please?

I had bilstein b4 shocks and eibach springs on my breadvan. Great quality and didn't break the bank. Would happily go back to that setup. Lowered a little but would have preferred a little lower. Handled great though.

Currently running H&R cup kit on a different breadvan. Much lower, handles nicely but feels different to Bilstein/Eibach setup. I would happily recommend either of those.

Setup on the H&R breadvan, (installed by previous owner,) was stock shocks, shorter springs, coilovers on the back setup as low as they would go with no give at all to stop banded steels hitting the arches. That setup sucked! Rattly, crashy, uncomfortable, BUT, it did look awesome!
