Polo 1.8 GTi Supercharged

Has anyone ever got rid of the turbo and swapped for a supercharger set up on a polo Gti 1.8? If so what size charger have they used ie cubic inch? Is there over heating problems, will probably relocate inter cooler to rear of the car anyway or possibly one at the front one at the back? If that’s possible?? Just need to know what size charger is best suited as I can’t find anything on the web. Also do Gti’s have a good oil recirculating system or is it best to get a upgraded pump and a bigger system

This will be a shed load of work. You’ll need to have the intercooler up front as you’re going to need air flowing through it to make it work. You could move it in to the boot if you used a charge cooler.

Could I ask why you want to go for a supercharger over a hybrid turbo a good down pipe and bigger set of injectors and a remap ?

Would use metal piping to minimise heat going to the second cooler, so wouldn’t need to be veryical just at a slight angle so air would flow through/around it.

I don’t want to just be able to bolt stuff on, would like to have something not many people have if any and plus want responsive power not massive lag and when it actually spins up can’t put the power down because FWD
