Thanks for all the comments :-)

This project started in the making back in autumn 2006 when my mk3 saloon G40 conversion got wrote off on the way to VW Mania'06. Had a spare conversion from the shell lying around, found a cheap Terra van for the diesel engine in Nov 2006 and then this tidy coupe S in April 2007. From then on it was just a case of sourcing the right bits and taking it a step at a time. Cost a fair few ££££'s mind, ultimately funded on the back of the sale of my very low milage blue original G40. Should all prove worth the wait though

Here is why the 1W diesel engine comes in useful:

Whoa!

What a clean example to start off with.

This has seemed to come out of nowhere, obviously the engine speaks (or roars!) for it's self but what you've done with the lowerage and wheels even the red tape on the grill looks stunning.

Check your mats out they look mint.

Took her out for a spin today seeing as the weather was good and i don't get to enjoy it that often due to new job keeping me busy

Engine has run in well now, running smooth as a nut :-) I think I'll have to review my compressor option though, as its not producing the boost as my other 1272cc lump did with this charger.

It has been a well worked engine though with high power in mind, so it'll take to a bigger blower with ease :-D

immense car, love it
