I#ll put piccys up later. Basically on 4 diff sized tyres and the ABS light on i came bombing it around the country lane at 65 - with the steering off line.. held it but only for 100 yards... got it down to 35 but still went down into a ditch and banged my knee :(

I've got a list of some parts i may need, but want to know whether it's a good idea to just get it looked at again, get a parts list and 1 by 1 just obtain the parts...

The car really should have been written off - but i managed to find a dashboard for 130quid (from leeds - thank you breakeryard.com) and just now need to find cheap body parts... the rest is a doddle...

So I best want advice on how to go about fixing it....

Oh also, do you think i can still use the same bonnet? I got quote for 100quid for bonnet alone :(. My options are, as i need the quarter panels as well are: 1) Salvage current parts, get mate to dent them out again, sand down and respray (all mates rates) 2) Buy red panels anyway new no dodgyness.. or 3) Buy diff colour ones for cheap and just slap them on there till a later date when i can get the paint done...

Get some pics up, but I would get some adivce on the chassis to check if its twisted, bent, also steering and suspension, axles.

First of all, before you even THINK about buying panels, get the chassis checked by someone reputable. Cars are designed to crumple in impacts, and this is not always obvious.If the impact was as big as you were saying, I would be suprised if the car was completly straight.

It sounds like the car is hanging if you needed a dashboard mate. What Mk is it? And you must be a right nutter if you were driving it like that, and and know of the faults! lol

If it needs a new dashboard i think its safe to say the outside may be past saving...

You absolute tard! never drive like that especially when the whole car is standard... they are not designed to drive at 65 anywhere with odd tyres on nor a dodgy steering alinment! not even worth repairing to be honest! get an insurance payout and learn quickly from that mistake!!!

That will take a lot of repairing, and tbh it should be written off as it looks like the A pillars and roof will be bent. The whole things almost certainly bent so you could end up repairing it and it still wont steer straight. Not worth it imo.
