Right the Polo seems to be throwing a small wobbly, basically

1) Open the drivers door with the key and only that door opens (central locking doesn't activate)

2) However, do the same on the passenger door and everything opens (central locking works)

3) Electric window switches inside; drivers one doesn't work at all, passenger will only go down and the switch to open and close the car from inside hardly works at all (sporadically locks everything but won't unlock)

Went a bought new switches from VW (didn't work) and all the relevant fuses are fine, what the bloody hell is going on!

maybe broken wires in the flexi boot by the door hinge?

Found the broken wire (black and white one) broken and someone had bodged some cheap green wire in there, not sure who/when/where but it broke, my bro and me managed to pull out the crap wire and re-attach the black and wire but it still doesn't work, probably because there's no good contact, anyone fancy having a bash at on the weekend at Polo Show?
