Boot Lock Help

Featured Replies

hi guys,

i've got a bit of a problem with my Mk4, when you lift the boot handle the mechanism's inside won't engage properly and the latch won't release.

i stripped the inside of the boot door and took a few pictures of the lock and handle as i think somethings missing, would you guys be able to help ?

if it turns out something is missing with any luck the guys breaking cars will be able to help me sourch the replacement part, but lets get cracking ,here's the pics

when the mechanisl is like this the latch won't release with the handle

and when you move the mechanism the latch works the handle bob on, which is why i think something is missing.

thanks for reading this guys and fingerscrossed we can have this sorted for lunch time

cheers
