Good condition 1989 had a new ignition switch petrol tank and cat back exhaust system fuel pump good runner never let me down had a cambelt and water pmp change at 80k its done 101,000 genuine miles lots of paperwork. Had an mot last month flew through it 5 months tax. back seats are out and replaced with a false floor with sub and amp

BAD BITS

On the front d/s wing there is a little bit of rust nothing major there is the odd minor mark on the paint here and there but nothing bad one of the wheel arches could do with a respray its got an arch kit on it.

yeh iw ould swap for my mk3, its ratted tho, but everything that has been done to it can be easily reversed

unfortunatly pretty far from me but if the right deal is struck could be wan excuse to come up to see the family in sunny Doncaster!

is it on paper as a 1.8 gti? its just i haven't been driving long and i fear getting insured will be hard and if so expensive thats why I'm after another polo small engine something i can convert to a gt thanks for the offer tho :)

its 1.8 GLI (might be GL, but pretty sure its GLI) still in the log book, but i have put the kr engine code on there.

if you wanted to insure it try HIC, it cost me the same as a std MK2 16v if thats any use! reason is car & engine isotherwise std, not lowered or anything like that so less insurance worries. as far as the insurance is concered the interior is all 'std' too, still all mk1 cab bits

actually i bet you could get it on a classic policy, 83 should be more than old enough!
