hello guys, from australia!!!

Featured Replies

hey guys,

my names dominic and I'm 19, i recently purchased this unknown year mk2 breadvan.

its a 1.1 sunroof model, all standard, it has 69k on the clock and is said to be the only one in australia!!!

its rust free and has been sitting for 8 years untill i have got ahold of it... the interior is mint with the dash ans seats in immaculate condition

my plans are to run rediculous offset and width (show) wheels 13x7 and 13x9 rears unsure of offset yet

also i have a set of CBR600 bike carbs to go on in the next few months....

i wont be touching it for a few good weeks as i also have another car to build a 85 golf cabriolet with 9a 16v with KR cams and extractors

also unsure of the color to do the polo, tossing up between matt army green or brown with luis vuitton print on the bonnet (I'm not gay) just cool print! and a matt black roof

or a old skool Dr Pepper van with faded out logo on a matt red car

my numberplate is TOSTAH

love this site and looking forward to browsing your site!!

i have many many questions to ask you guys

here are both cars

g'day mate!

whoa!

welcome to the site mate, hope you enjoy it

You will be having fun with the rear arches then!

Should be sick when done. Arches will need work. Although a mate of mine is running 14x9 steffans on a mk2 breadvan at the rear and its down 70mm. Did take some work but nothing overly hard!! Anything is possible if you want it bad enough!! :-D

Oh and hello from the lovely UK

You will be having fun with the rear arches then!

lol yes there will be massave poke, about 3-4 inches... but thats ok its only for cruises and shows.. i also have bilstein 60/40 drop full suspension

i will be on this site very often searching and chatting and asking and posting

just a quick question, would 13's be the best option for what i plan on doing?? or can i go 14x9 rears??

cheers

dom

13's look sweet on Polo's (shouldnt be saying that I just bought 14's for my mk3 haha). You ever considered Berg cup arches modified to fit it? Never seen Cup arches on a Bready!!

Welcome to the forum!!

Nice to see an interest in Polo's showing up all over the world now!!

:)

P.S. I just got BBS RJ's for my Polo and have been looking for a photo of nice gold/polished BBS's for inspiration, thanks for the Golf pic I've just printed it!!

Hi there welcome to the forum :)

14 x 9s won't go on without major arch work I'm afraid!! Unless you like em pokin out miles haha

I reckon it will look good on the steels tbh

Where abouts in Australia are you?

I'm flying out 2mo :-)

Upset about leaving my 2 Mk1 polos behind :-(

Col Car man lookng forward to see it progress ..

Stevie

G'day! How can you not be tempted to run the standard body on those ace little 13in alloys? They're superb. You think they'd post around the world..? Those BBS,and MK1 Golf arches, would also be good! Infact, the entire MK1 Golf cab is just gorgeous

wow thanks for the kind reply, i love my cabriolet soo much... although its a pain in the ass to rebuild :(

someone earlier mentioned 14x9's with lots of poke... that is the plan with it... i want heaps of poke out the arches with this little thing

well I'm deciding inbetween the 2 rims... the orig 13's widened or the 14's widened??

if i am to have the 13's widened, i will leave the 14's 5.5 width and run stretched space saver tyres for laughs

as for the 13 inch alloys, I'm not sure what i am going to do with them....

Welcome mate.

Good luck with the rear arches, I've always been wary of messing with them for width on a square but good luck..

Bet your polo has never had carb freezing
