Hi,

I'm looking to hide my ugly wheels behind some wheel trims on my 6n. Does anybody have any pics of polos with wheel trims?

Preferably looking at retro stylee (ATS classic, but trims??!) but any will do.

not a polo but my old mk1 rockin over sized caps

They clip on the same as any hubcaps. I've got a set of 15" wide ones, never found out if they go on 14" steels though. they're still in the for sale section somewhere lol.

That looks cool, love the white walls. Are they painted tyres or white slip on discs?

how do you fit oversized trims? just with a cable tie or do you have to file the clips down?

Wheeltrims will only fit properly to correct size rims, which are available from specific sources, 15" and 16" steels are around if you know where to look and 15/16" trims can be sourced from different VW models like the 16ers from the mk4 Bora

There just painted on pal, look good from a distance but pretty cracked when you look close.

Oversized wheel trims pimp hard .. Always wanted to run a set but never got around to it ..

Though to be more specific and help you with your hunt, 14" 4x100 steels like mine are Golf GTI steelies, 15" 4x100 steels' most commonly take the form of heartagram's G60 Steels, and 16" are Renault articles iirc

i have had a look at some of the images on this thread and think the cars looks awesome. I'm running standard steelies atm on my car which are 13's i think. Can i buy 14 or 15 inch wheel trims , cut off the lugs and just cable tie them on?? if you have any close up pics of doing this then that would be great! thanks :)
