I've been using them reyt strong velcro sticky pad u get from halfrauds but both fron and back look like they're about to fall off already.

I'm thinkin of gettin some plate surround. i hope they dont look gay.

what does everyone else use then?

Hi i use the sticky pads but i'll be using velcro on the back soon when i get a white rear plate.

Heavy duty velcro pads from my local DIY store! they been on ages they work a treat

i got loads and loads of stickey pads and cleaned both surfaces first but they kept peeling off after a few days or very most a week.

i drilled 2 holes in mine and screwed them on best way least u know they arnt coming off.

or plate surrounds wish i got them straight away.

I got some of that "no more nails" adhesive pad stuff..I ain't tried it yet though

I used sticky pads.. took a load of paint off though when i took the plates off. Iv Now got surrounds.

after witnessing sticky pads melting if the car is left in the sun, i settled for drilling.

and il do the same to the private plate, but put it on the bottom of the bumper:). will help make it look like what i want it to say.convience of locating a black bolt lol.

Iv sold someone on here some 3M dual core stuff i get from my work. Its used for mounting sensors under and in race cars so it must be pretty strong. If you want a strip send me a PM.

sticky pads at the mo.. willb going velcro so i can swap plates when bodywork is done.

i used sticky pad tape from bnq, had them on for a year and they dint mess paintwork wen took them off :-)

I want to do it so i can swap the German plates with some plastic UK plates in the surround.

yeah drilling is out of the question.

Plate surrounds, easier to swap between legal and show plates I find. Wouldn't think of drilling them!

the back of the surround is riddled with holes, you use the exsistin holes that fixed you are old plates with, then u clip you are plates into yourr new surround :-D

Plan on getting some lockable one for the raddo when i get it. Means with the aid of key you can pop the holder open and switch plates, the clip in ones are all well and good til you snap part of the clips.
