Got This Red 1.0ltr Polo As A 16th Birthday Prezzy 2 Year Ago For A First Car And Ever Since Then I've Been Tinkering On With It To Get It How It Is Now, With Some Help Off My Dad And Tommy (Painter) Ofc;)

Sooo... Here Goes

Car When I First Got It:

As You Can See It Was A Little.. How Can We Put This? Pink? So It Was In Desperate Need Of A Re-spray.

First Things First - De-Badged Boot, Gotta Be Done

Took Those Horrid 1ltr Badges Off, Numberplate, Vw Badge And Numberplate Lights

Welded Plates Over

Then Twas Time To Prep For Painting:

Fitted New Wing. Original One Was To Rusty To Save

Smoothed Off Side Repeaters

Got Rest Of Body Ready For Primer &+ Masked Off

Primed Repairs

Guide Coated

Rubbed Down

Primed Full Car

Guide Coated Again

Rubbed Down &+ Painted

Fitted Good Old Lexus Lights Which Was A Bad Idea.. Still Need To Change Them. Re-Added The Polo Badge. Took Wiper Off.

New Wheels

Bought A Home Made Exhaust

De-Wipered

Fitted Rear And Front Private Numberplates &+ Exhaust

And Had A Bit Fun With The Rocker Cover

Future Progress Includes:

Lowered - Dropped on Raceland coileys

Tinted

Angel Eyes

New Tail Lights - Still want some 6n2 rears, PM me!

Refurbed Wheels - In Progress!

Fit Solenoid To Boot

New Interior

16v Front And Back Bumpers

Black or Checkered Roof?

Wind Deflectors

Bonnet Strut

Etc.

Very nice spraying, looks like a quality job, what you have done is pretty high quality stuff!! Grats, however wait for the onslaught about some stuff....... but tidy lil car, different to the norm.

Trust Me, If I Had My Way It Would Of Been A Different Colour I Hate Red &+ Thers The Fact That It Always Goes Chorky But I'm Only Keeping It For First Year So Just Decided To Do It Red Again. Saved Painting Engine Bay Ad Inside Etc.

I'm getting the roof checkered soonish so i don't know whether to spray the spoiler black the same colour as checks, or red with small checkers on?

Hmm that is a tricky one, umm well if you checkered the spoiler it might look a bit weird from the back if people couldn't see the checked roof so I would probably spray it black if you are having the roof checked, what about a gloss black roof instead? Not sure how that would look on red though, might work :)

Just fitted new wheel baring, and spoiler came today.

Bought and fitted 8v rears.

Took of de-badged grille and swapped it for my new and improved new one .

personally say no, for the checked roof mate, All black on the other hand looks loads better :)

yeah, was canny dodgy like, had to get a small flatty and slowly prize away the edge of it while trying to pop the clips off.

just have patience, take it slow and hope you don't snap it.
