To all who have posted in this thread, the car is an absolute shed which has attempted to have been fettled by someone who doesn't have a clue (i.e. smoothed exhaust, WTF is the point in that, all I saw under the bonnet was masses of gasket sealant)

It did leave my 2.5 turbo behind briefly.
