hiya all,,, hows every 1 doing,,, well I'm not doin so good lol

start at the top then...

on the 28th december 2008 i bought some nice looking OZ alloy wheels,, he stated in the ad all good alloys and good tyres

well the next working day i set off down the post office with some cash and sent it to the seller 1st class recorded delivery.. he did recive it as he told me

well i waited untill the 10th jan 2009 as he said a lot off excuses that the wheels are in a lock up and cant get his hands on them,, fair enought reply

but

i had the wheel posted to me today with my DHL delivery account and when i had a look at them on the back off the van there were only 3 alloys, i rang the boy from cheshire to says what's the f**k this is all about,, he recons he sent 4 alloys out not 3,,, there so look slight damage to the package but not enough for a alloy to go for a spin on its own

well anyway,, the boy said he rang the dhl and could not trace the wheel up so i took it into my own hands

bare in mind these came from 200miles away (berkshire - south wales),,

i rang the DHL customer service's and asked what stops the van make to swap from van to van,, well i had those details and i wrang every depo the van stopped at to chase the missing alloy up,, well every 1 have turned around and said there is no alloy wheel left over..

now i told the boy I'm not having this and i want a full refund and he can get these alloys collected from my place when i got my cash back,, he aint willing to pay any money back at all to me now

what shall i do???

i sent the cash out by 1st class recorded - i got proof

when the alloys was posted i made a not on the paper to the van driver that 1 alloy is missing so i can have more proof

a few text's on my phone saying a loads off excuses why the deal took so long

he also blamed the van delivery driver off stealing the alloy

please help if u can as now i got money out there and not coming back and stuck with 3 alloys witch are realy no good to me tbh

also the ad stated they was 15inch alloys but when i had them these are 16inch, not complainin about that but i am just not happy as i got 1 missing wheel, 1 bold tyre, and god knows what the other alloy is like if i every get it

shall i take this further in to the law

Only thing you can do I think, maybe contact ebay about it aswell

11 months is just taking the p*ss!

i think this is a lesson learnt to be brutally honest. sorry.

how much was at stake? use paypal in the future, you get more security.

another alternative which i dont recommend, cos violence never solves anything, but if you sent him cash you obvioulsy have his address....

were the wheels wrapped together as one package, or sent as individual items, with their own packing slips.... i.e. 4 slips, for which he should have!

either way, i hope you get you money back!

yea i got all the mans details and the wheels were all packaged up as 1..

I'm getting back in touch with dhl again 2moz but i honestly can seeing me havin a antluck tbh

if they all came together, one was never packed up and sent, or one got seperated on route. obvious answers i know, but for it to get lost from a package that was packed together as one, there would be obvious signs of damage to enable one wheel to come loose and lost, yeah?

poor item description, and a missing wheel, the guy is a tw*t

ebay should be able to help to an extent, but they dont handle the funds, so dont expect too much.

yea i cant belive it wen i had the parcel.. 3 wheels, 1 bold tyre, 1 huge scuff,, not inpresed and i needed them as 1 i had them cheap and 2 i gt MOT in 3 weeks,, back to the 13'' vw alloys i guess for now

I'm afraid eBay can't really do anything as you paid by cash. If you paid by Paypal then you would have a good chance of getting your money back.

Doesn't make a difference if you use paypal or not, neither would get involved or help you!

If you filed a dispute with paypal, it would freeze your money so neither party can touch it, you can't get a refund unless you close the dispute on the promise the seller is gonna refund you [if for instance that was what may have happened], but you have to take the sellers word for it, and if they haven't refunded you when they said they would there's nothing you can do because you closed the dispute to say you were satisfied and all was resolved, you're in a no win situation.

I know, I went through it and eBay or paypal did sweet fa to help me [a paypal advisor infact told me to close the dispute so the seller could refund me but I was told by another one I should never have done that], so I told the dirrty little jippos I'd come to derby to ram the fake bag up their ass and collect the money myself or if they prefered a CCJ and for me to send the oldbill round for selling fake Louis Vuitton bags through the internet under geuine pictures etc, my refund arrived after I put the phone down, even though they had told me they'd already sent it Thankfully, I got my £350 back and bought the bag through eBay again but from America this time.

The paypal process will then ask for proof of returning it, you supply that, you get your money back...

cash on collection unless you know the seller/buyer.

and sending recorded delivery is pointless, anything over £40, which I'm guessing it was, he could sign for it, take the money, and claim not getting it, he gets the money, you claim £36 back...

Didn't work for me mate and I did all that

Paypal said I had to close my dispute so he could refund me, if that's what he said he was going to do. I had to take the sellers promise and take that risk of trusting them! Oh yes paypal, I believe they're going to refund me after sending me that shit, tools

all sorted now any way lad's,,, i am gettin the alloy dropped off in the morning so happy days,, hope 2009 so show me some good lick not all bad lol... my list can just go on and on
