HEY,

i have a mk3 coupe that i am breaking. brief history, i owned the car originally for about a year, then sold 14months ago when i got my g. then i saw the guy i sold it to the other day, asked how the car was and he told me it was off the road, so i went and got it off him the next day.

it was off the road cos the petrol tank has a leak (the mk3 nemises) and he thinks the clutch is on the way out..... but i pulled off in 3rd no worries?!?!?! not driven it on a good old drive for a proper diagnosis tho, as it is untaxed, uninsured, and un mot'd. :(

the engine and shell are both in pretty good nic, and have done 107k. engine starts sweet from cold, got a vid on phone i can send to anyone who might be interested in the engine. it seems to be a bit oiley under the bonnet, i suspect a gradual leak from the head gasket region. but it doesnt leave black puddles on the drive.

gearbox is sweet also no crunching. clutch cable needs replacing tho

when i was driving this car about, it was very fun, nippy and cheap to run. i miss it as my daily, but my g40 is too much fun!

car is currently on a nice sets of vw tarantulas, and a 40mm koni shock and spring set, i will be niking these for my g40, but the 60mm springs from her are up for grabs.

the switch under the headlight controls is linked to an electric aerial, it operates it to go up, and down again. its not an automatic electric aerial. the aerial is broken, however the switch still works. when i put it in, i arldited it to some plastic, to make a large enough surface area to fix to.

next to the fog lights switch is a digital clock...... installed i believe as the one on the dash doesnt work. thats one thing i forgot to say people, the digi clock on dials doesnt work iirc...

lots of loose parts now, took some pics of whats still available, if you seen anything you like, just ask.

couple of notes on some of the pics, the black carpet is ok, needs a hoover, but it does have a hole located kind of under where the throttle pedal is

the gt badge appears to have been snapped, and glued back together, and then re painted.

front bumper is in great condition, has a coulple of niggles but in the main is very good.

rear bumpers clips have broken, but it will still fix to a car.

seats are a lil tired, drivers bolsters is saggy, and has a hole in, also a small part of the piping is showing, and one of the cable has snapped on the drivers seat to allow access to rear by pulling the lever. passenger one is good, rear bench needs some stitching.

passenger window, cable has snapped for the winding up and down function

2 keys and all locks (2doors, boot, ignition) available. all work fine.

heater controls all working

blower fan resistor x2 available both working to allow operation of 1 2 and 3 speeds

wing mirrors in very good condition, internal

spare tyre is in very good condition.
