Featured Replies

Well, i guess its time enough for me to atleast start a build thread...

I got this wonderful car a few days before my 17th birthday

A few weeks later came the first real visual mod ( i'd put in a sub/headunit already.. ), i fitted some TT comp wheels the day before my driving test..

Bare with at this point, despite the amazingly high ride height it rubbed due to the huge tyres that were on it and my lack of experience in this field..

Went to my first 'meet' in it a few days later, was the Coventry Mega Meet, lovely summer afternoon and a great turn out of cars! Easy enough to spot mine with the comedy ride height!

Got my hands dirty with it and got colour coding all the rub strips aruond the car to match the reflex silver paint.

Then came Edition38 2009..

I got some 50mm lowering springs and the right size profile tyres..

I got bored of the 17" TT's and felt as if they were too big so i got some 16" Keskin KT5's, and eventually coilovers..

And we got this..

Then came boredom again and the 3rd set of wheels for the polo..

this time something a little special :)

And today we have this

Got a few more plans before UD as well getting the helpers out of the front/adjusters out of the back so it sits a little lower.

Things have been a bit slow at times and alot of plans i've had for the Polo have been put aside due to funds and alot of other things coming up but i think she's turned out alright on the TH lines

yea i have a soft spot for the TH lines just so expensive, but looks sweet as mate. whats the plans for the car then ?

Just look at is as investing 1k+ in wheels

The way i see it is, I will get back what i paid for them. Always someone willing to pay that for wheels

i gave 1k for my merc rims and £160 to have my adaptors + bolts customised - should have bought the schmidts!

indeed you should have, Your a bad man

indeed you should have, Your a bad man

haha tru that, i was going to purcahse some new schmidt th line cults 14's but cant really justify spending that amount when i'm becoming a uni student in september!

I reckon if you just lower the car more mate it will look awesome, smooth some body work out, make it looks super rad!

Yeh cheers for the kind comments guys.

Car is having the helpers come out of the front and the adjusters out of the back so it'll sit about 20mm lower all round which will mean its pretty much sat on the tyre inside the arch but should be good!

Got a front votex splitter for it under my bed that should be on in the next week, just waiting for time at the spray shop.

I know what you mean about 'investment' regarding the wheels, the way i see it i'll never have to 'buy' another set of wheels again, just sell these and use the cash or swap or something!

And regarding the Student comment, ha I'm 17 and should hopefully be starting at Nottingham Uni in September...may end up selling up and just getting a tidy A3 and garaging at home for a while..

Looks great friend!

I'm in a similar situation, got a silver 1.2 9n..

She's sitting on eibach sportlines on 16' rs4's, with a votex spoiler!

What coilies did you go for?

I'm trying to weigh up the pro's n' con's of decking her!

Also, did you not have 9n3 rear lights on there for awhile?

Tam.
