Uprated Injectors for Valver?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I need to upgrade my Injectors on my 1998 1.4 16V AFH?

Does anyone know what ones are a straight fit to upgrade to?

1.6 GTI ones?

Thanks

Harry

yes the blue injectors from a gti are a straight swap, but i would question your wisdom on this.. the standard injectors are capable of making over 140bhp before they max out

sorry, what i originally said is a bit misleading, the standard afh injectors are good for 140 ish bhp at the standard fuel pressure, i guess if you are converting to turbo you will be using some sort of rising rate pressure regulator with it in which case the injectors can potentially put out more at a raised fuel pressure..

although in your case it would be better to run larger ones.. the actual injector is called a weber pico injector and if you do some digging around you may be able to find something suitable in a breakers yard, also some of the ducatti motorcycles use this type of injector as well, i managed to find a set of 330cc/min pico injectors on a ducatti in a local motorcyle breaker when i did a supercharger conversion on a lupo years ago.. the afh injectors are 200cc/min and the polo/lupo gti injectors are 220cc/min

quick google search found this too at power - pico injectors
