mk2 golf type 19

Featured Replies

Here for sale we have a rare mk2 golf type 19 registered as a 1.6 driver this is the early one with the mk1 golf style doors diffrent rear badge mk1 golf gti steering wheel and a few other bits and peices!

The car has a jetta front end conversion and is slammed on coilovers fk i believe The car is very clean for a 23 year old car the only bad parts are a bit of rust coming through on the rear arch nothing to bad and the front of the bonnet has a few little rusty bits were theyve been stone chipped and peeled of realy not as bad as it sounds.

Now the important bit! it has a 1.4 100bhp afh engine out of a polo 16v in it wich realy is prety quick 4 what it is! sees of most things! As far as i can find this conversion has only been done once before and this would seem to be the first one on injection! gets alot of atention at vw shows!

At the moment it needs a speedo cable but i have asked my mate who works for volkswagon to order me one (this is who done the conversion for me)I'm not sure of the milage on the engine i beleive it to be around 70000 if my memory serves me right i know its had a timing belt on it before being removed from the car!

It has fresh 6 months tax and mot runs out in december any questions feel free toask me! thanks for looking and I'm open to offers and px try me!Here for sale we have a rare mk2 golf type 19 registered as a 1.6 driver this is the early one with the mk1 golf style doors diffrent rear badge mk1 golf gti steering wheel and a few other bits and peices!

Interested in a "proper" Mk2 16v?

i could be mate got more details, pics?

i dnt think i am asking to much seing as 1.3 lowered mk2s are going for this sort of money on edition

Err it's a 90 spec 3 door, alpine white. I bought it on about 130k, it's on 143k now still going nicely. Will have 12 months MOT as it's due in a couple of weeks and is taxed til December. The rear panel is a bit crusty where the tailgate seals, and there are a couple of stone chips on it that have gone through the paint. From a distance it looks immaculate, when up close it's still presentable, there's certainly no worrying rust on it. Interior is like new.

Can be on either 15" BBS RAs or 15" BBS RZs.

It's got H&R springs that are a sensible drop - the big bumper splitters really are pretty big and catch everything. Boge Turbo shocks up front, Spax PSX adjustables at the back.

4-1 manifold straight through to the standard backbox, modded airbox with K&N. It's virtually silent when cruising but it makes one hell of a noise when you put your foot down.

No KJET issues, drives like a 16v should - just like an 8v up til 4k then tries to pull the wheel out your hand above that lol. Will just about crack 40 mpg if you nanny it, realistically you are looking at 32 mpg unless you do a lot of short journeys. Being honest, I had a day of driving like a fanny round scottish mountains followed by a drive back home at an "increased" speed and still got 31 mpg over the day.

It's got a Kenwood head unit with Infinity speakers in the dash and Alpines in the doors I think, with wiring there for speakers in the back.

Have you still got the Golf front end for this?

I would drive 10 hours for that white mk2 any day of the week! Stunning car. If i had the money id be on my way up there now lol.
