as far as I'm aware from the previous owner its audi akoya silver... looks really nice in person silver with like a blue/purple under tone!

back to the lights, 16v rears are lightly tinted, you could always go for the cheap option and try a light tint on your standard rears. they look surprisingly good but if you DIY you have to be careful how much you use.

how many coats would you suggest i was thinkin of about 3-4

if your smoking them i used a torch after each coat to see how much light came through works well!!!!!!!

superlites are off and will be going for refurb! few of edges had minor scuffs when bought!

bottom of drivers side wing had rusted.. further investgation found all underside of wing to be rotten and the end of the sill where it meets the wing... so as i need a few bits of paint work on rear arches doing and i didnt want to weld it to come back if i didnt cover the full exstent so new wing it is! so bout 15-20mins worth o work on a satuday morning!

wing should arrive at work through week, get that on.. got a rear strut brace to fit! and then paint work!

thats my old ride mate i did all work myself and looked a litle different when i did it, the colour is audi akoya silver only downside to the car is the cheaper paint job, i unfortunately decided to use a guy who was a bit cheaper than my usual sprayer and i dont think he did his best work unfortunately thats why i sold it on as i didnt want to throw more money into it, heres some pics from when i did it!

heres a couple of pictures of my other old polo of the best painter i use normally and not the cheaper guy!

i go for that look with all my cars even my old caddy van

the polo has got so much potential can get more/better pics if needed off my hard drive.

i still have the superlites just there was a few marks ont edges from when i bought it and i caught one in my yard at work which is hurrendous! so they shal b going for re-furb!

NEED to get it back on some decent wheels as the tandard alloys iv got it on for winter do absolutely nothing for the car!!

when i have the wing done, both rear arches need doing! so all will be done at the same time! how long ago roughly was it painted mate? id been wanting to know more about it!

As they are mine now swap'd them for them superlites awhile back now which you now have on the car

thanks for offer but I'm happy with how it looks on the superlites so I'm going to stick with them! not sure any work will get done till next weekend now as I'm in portsmouth this weekend! hoping to get paint work done and wheels sorted etc.. for end of march!

colour match is absolutely spot on! and the finish from my mates painting is top! proper talented for a 18yearold sprayer i deffinately know where all my work will be going now!

hopefully get superlites back on in a week or so! been lazy wi getting them sorted! but not paints done needs them back on!

there ET minus7 and i run them with spacers which i think are 20mm but I'm unsure, cant remember ha. yeah they do poke a bit had arches rolled now so looking forward to seeing how they look with arches rolled...

there you go, there 10mm then.. there the ones that came on the car so they must be mate, yeah if you need them to clear the brakes, iv never tryed them without.

ended up with another set of wheels! 13inch steelies with a 70profile tyre haha all tyre are spanking liek so will keep these as winter wheels and give them a bit of a sproose when i get chance!

will have the superlites back either tomorrow or saturday! :) winner!!
