another polo bites the dust

Featured Replies

Ahh a crappy end to a crappy day, got outta work and did my usual taxi service for some mates, after dropping off the last one and heading home I lose it on a bend thanks to some really helpful farmers leaving a load of crap all over the road and find myself on the roof. Hats off to the polo tho as I came out it untouched, the car on the other hand is a write off. Just glad I wasn't still driving the mini about or I'd be a mess right now.

this is the second thread i've read tonite about someone losing it on mud. DAMN FARMERS!!! :x:x:x:x:x:x

glad you are ok tho

I went for a spin in my old 306,thanks to a Kumho'd back axle crossing paths with the result of a tractor's muddy boots. Bloody country bods, they think they own the place.

Lucky youre ok mate

thats one way to lower your polo. mk4s dont seem to like muddy country roads. one of my mates lost the back end of his, but then he did drive far to fast in it for country roads

well I got out with a few cuts and some whiplash so I'm pretty f**kin lucky, the ambulance crew and coppers couldn't believe that I got myself out, just gotta wait n see what happens with the insurance now (no doubt they rip me off, cheap ass b**stards). Dunno where I stand on the whiplash tho can I claim for it or not?

sorry to hear it mate, is the xcar yorus then or has it been scrapped? you might be able to recoup soem money if you break if for the few parts that may intrest some. :D

quick advice, get to your car NOW.... if its anything ike my insurance, from 1 day after it was collected from my house by the repairers, the next day insurance had already sorted for collection of the car.... i had to take half a day off work to rescue what i ncould out of my car....

and if your insurers are good, then dont worry about your total loss as they're actually ok now a days

jesus mate, thats really bad

gutted for you :( :( :( :(

Sorry to hear that mate!

Know exactly how you feel!

oh dear - as others have said at least you are ok thats the main thing.

i had a small bump in mine when i locked up on the way in to a corner on some mud on the road left by farmers

Everyone crashing at the mo, we must be speeding up now the weather is better.

Atleast your ok mate!

jesus man thats nasty... think only sunday that car was fine and in taunton...

glad you are ok???

you thinking of staying dub???

thats what i thought.

still, youre welcome with your mini mate :)

wow, glad your ok. Small consolation but at least you didn't have the freshly smoothed valver bumper on it. That would have been the definition of a piss-take.

glad you are ok mate, i no what u mean with the mud, i was in woolacomb the other week n my car slid like a bitch on the farmers shit trail, i wasnt going all that fast! what a bummer!

Thanks for the support guys,

just aching like a bastard where the seatbelt beat me up  and feeling a bit sorry for myself and my poor old polo.

Soon as the insurance pays up I'll be looking for a replacement, really tempted by TimW's valver just gotta see if I'll be able to afford it.

yer talk about full on masacre if the bumper had been done!

yer TimW's valver would be a good investment. lots of stuff already done :)

p.s. wiplash comp will pay for the new car ;)

wouldnt have my car if it wasnt for a 5mph rear shunt in my dads old car. ;)
